GO DAWGS! - Donald Trump and Black Confederate Lives Matter

9/30/2016

Picture
A few months ago, the Virginia Flaggers raised money to purchase (2) massive 20' x 30' Mississippi State Flags, and sent them to Oxford in preparation for a roadside battle flag project there.  It appears that one of the flags somehow made its way to the student section, and was unfurled  as a show of support for the great state of Mississippi, and as a protest to Chancellor Vitter's decision to cave to the PC demands of leftists and remove the state flag from campus.

The results were phenomenal. The crowd cheered and shouted in appreciation and awe as the massive flag waved and was seen by thousands!

There are reports that the flag was confiscated by the police shortly thereafter, who also carried out orders to harass students wearing a state flag sticker, carrying a sign, or carrying a state flag (without stick!)...

BREAKING: "Police Confiscate Flags, 'Dixie' signs at game. Threaten Arrest." University of Mississippi - 9/17/2016

"Students attending the Ole Miss v. Alabama football game this Saturday at the University of Mississippi reported police confiscating Mississippi State flags and 'Let the Band Play Dixie' posters within Vaught-Hemmingway Stadium. University Police Officers were quoted by students as saying they were, 'ordered to take all state flags and ['Let the Band Play Dixie'] posters,' that their orders came, 'from the top,' and that they would use their, 'right to arrest,' those who did not comply. United States flags and non-Mississippi State flag or Dixie related posters were not confiscated.

Our friends at the "Our State Flag Foundation" report that while they have no clue who organized the giant flag unveiling, it has led to a HUGE spike in on-campus membership, which has been steadily growing in the weeks since they were admitted as an official student group and were allowed to set up a table at the Student Union.

In addition, students are starting to speak out, with TWO excellent letters published recently in the DAILY MISSISSIPPI:

"Today at the game, my younger brother had a (Mississippi State) flag in his pocket walking in. A woman saw it, asked him if it was an American flag, then made him unravel it and took it when she saw it was a state flag. That's absolutely ridiculous, but not as ridiculous as the fact that we have to smuggle the state flag into home games. Welcome to the dream school of Jeff Vitter , the University of Nowhere." ~ Jack Vincent

OTHER SCHOOL RELATED FLAG NEWS

Students at Boston area High School have gotten a "talking to" from administrators after video showed them waving a Confederate flag out of a car near the school this week.

The students have not been identified, but Principal Henry Turner says in a letter to the school community yesterday that "we are taking appropriate action."

In the five-second video clip, which traveled quickly on social media, a car drives past the school with the flag unfurled out the car's passenger side window.

"Please know that we take this incident very seriously," Turner writes. "There are members of the North community who are deeply upset and hurt by the actions of these individuals....we strive to celebrate our diversity and create safe and supportive learning environments for all. Therefore I look forward to working with our students and staff in working to repair and move forward from this incident."

Massachusetts Senator Ed Markey also made news in the same Boston paper by disinviting Duke's of Hazard actor and fellow former Congressman Ben Jones from a campaign fundraiser. The snub came from Markey because Jones (a Dixie Heritage subscriber) is a Confederate flag booster.

Just yesterday, a Florida high school confiscated a Confederate flag from a student who had brought it to a patriotic spirit day.

And earlier this week a student at Utah's Brigham Young University removed a Confederate flag from his dorm room window after hundreds signed a petition urging him to do so.

New Orleans tells court it can remove Confederate statues

New Orleans has the right to remove Confederate monuments that are the center of a heated debate, the city's attorneys told an appeals court Wednesday, but opponents who want a delay said removing them could cause irreparable harm.

Those pushing to keep the monuments got a skeptical reception from the judges, who raised harsh questions about their chances of prevailing.

A three-judge panel of the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals heard arguments on whether the city can remove the four monuments.

"This case is a simple case of whether the city has the power to remove its property," a lawyer for New Orleans, Adam Swensek, told the judges. "If the City Council can put it up, we can take it down."

Mr. Swensek also threatened the court by "warning" that the statues will be vandalized if they're allowed to stay standing.

The City Council voted in December 2015 to remove statues of Confederate Gens. Robert E. Lee and P.G.T. Beauregard, Confederate States of America President Jefferson Davis and a monument honoring veterans.

In court Wednesday, a lawyer for the four historical organizations called for the monuments to stay put and urged the court to keep them in place to give a lower court time to review the case in-depth. The groups have argued that moving the monuments could damage them. "All evidence supports that risk of irreparable harm to these monuments is substantial," Franklin Jones argued. He said there's "... no harm whatsoever to the city to let them rest in peace for another year."

Among the plaintiffs' arguments: Their constitutional rights were violated by the process for removal; the monuments were protected by historic preservation laws; and by maintaining the monuments over the years they've gained recognizable property interest in them and that removing the monuments could irreparably harm them. They're asking the appeals court to grant an injunction that would remain in effect throughout the litigation, meaning the city couldn't remove the monuments for months or years.

The court made no decision Wednesday and didn't indicate when it would rule. But Jones repeatedly came under sharp questioning by the judges about his chance of succeeding on the merits of his case, should the issue go back to a lower court for a fuller hearing. They hammered away at whether his group could be considered to have recognizable property interest in the monuments.

National Cathedral removes confederate symbols from stained glass

As we've reported in the past the National Cathedral has been moving towards removal of Confederate symbols in their stained glass windows.  According to RNS, it appears that the panes showing the Confederate battle flag have now been "quietly removed."

Rather than removing the windows, the two small panes of much larger windows bearing the image of the flag were simply replaced with red and blue panes to match surrounding glass, said Kevin Eckstrom, chief communications officer for the cathedral. Adjoining panes honoring Confederate generals remain in place but "their long-term future is really very much up in the air," he said.

Eckstrom acknowledged that Cathedral officials chose not to make a public announcement after the replacement (which appeared to the casual observer to be nothing more than routine cleaning and maintenance) occurred.

ANOTHER WAL-MART FLAG STORY

There's a story circulating about a few Walmart workers who are reportedly in deep doo-doo after taking a stand against what they felt was a racist cake request.
The Walmart location in McDonough, Georgia (about 30 miles southeast of Atlanta), is now under fire after it's employees allegedly refused to make a "Blue Lives Matter" cake last Friday for an officer's retirement party.

After digging deeper, it was suggested that the request was denied not for the cake's content but as an insult to the customer who was ordering it. You see, the same customer had previously attempted to order a Confederate Flag cake.

The story was picked up by FoxNews correspondent Todd Starns, who says that he interviewed the unidentified woman involved in the incident and her unnamed father, who is a retiring police officer.  Here is his report:

The police officer's daughter went to the Walmart on Willow Drive on Sept. 22 to order a flag for her father's retirement party. He was leaving the force after 25-years on the job.

She showed the bakers a photograph of the police officer's flag - the black and white version of Old Glory with a blue line.

"One of the bakers told me the design could be perceived as racist and nobody feels comfortable decorating the cake," the police officer's daughter told me.

I can't say I blame the Walmart workers for taking a stand.  Sure 'Blue Lives Matter,' that's a given. But we're focused on the senseless killings of Black one's right now.

BLACK CONFEDERATE LIVES MATTER!

In testimony of this we provide the following assembly of the Losses Among Blacks in the Confederate Army at Gettysburg

The following list includes men who served with the Confederate Army during the Gettysburg campaign. A few were slaves, the rest were free.

The Yankees would have us to believe that neither their participation, nor their losses, ever happened.

William C. Revels (variant spelling Revills), a fifer with Company H, 21st North Carolina, was about 25 years old in 1863. He was wounded in the right thigh, according to an entry in the Roster of North Carolina Troops. Post-war, Revels received a pension from the state of North Carolina. He was buried at Lovell's Chapel Methodist Church in Pilot Mountain, NC. Since free blacks often served as musicians, Revels was likely free-born. Service records also show a John Revills, probably a brother, who briefly served as a drummer in the same company.

One death is recorded during the retreat, that of "George," servant of First Sergeant C. C. Cummings of the 17th Mississippi. Cummings wrote in Confederate Veteran magazine that George chose to follow him from First Manassas to Ball's Bluff, to the Peninsula, Antietam, Fredericksburg, Chancellorsville and Gettysburg, where he lost his life. Cummings was wounded on the second day in the Peach Orchard, and was taken back in a wagon on July 4. At night, Cummings had to dismount, but George said the Yankees were separating the "black folks from (their) masters," and preferred to join the regiment in retreat and meet up again with Cummings on the other side of the Potomac. Cummings said that he insisted George accept his freedom and join a settlement of free men in the vicinity of Gettysburg, which they had passed in going up to the battle, but George refused. He made it through the lines safely and was marching in the rear of the retreating command, when he was "met by a Northern lady, who had a son in our command, whom George, by chance, happened to know. He was telling her of her son, who was safe as a prisoner, when some men in blue came up. George ran and they shot and killed him. He was dressed in gray and they took him for a combatant. The lady had him buried. ... She told my messmate of this and told it to the boys in camp."

Another death was narrowly averted. Henry Smith, 12th Virginia, drove a captured wagon during the retreat, filled with officers' portable baggage. While recrossing the Potomac, the wagon was swept away down the river, but Henry managed to escape in time.

The remainder were captured or missing and presumed captured:

Daniel Burton, 56th Virginia, was captured and ended up at Fort Delaware.

James, servant to Col. Carter, 13th Mississippi. Carter was killed and his body left within the Federal lines. James had the body embalmed by Federal physicians, and started on his long journey to Mississippi with the remains, which were delivered to Carter's wife.

Simon, servant and nurse to William M. Abernathy, 17th Mississippi. Abernathy was wounded and captured, with Simon tending him at a hospital in Philadelphia.

George Washington, a cook for the 9th Lousiana. Washington was captured with the wagon trains, but escaped and swam the river at Fredericksburg to reach Confederate lines.

Richmond, body servant to Sgt. Major Wesley Watson, 6th Alabama, was captured in the wagon train at South Mountain (Monterrey Springs) on the night of July 4/5.

Willis Waddell, 12th Virginia. Willis went missing on July 4.

Frank Lewis, 16th Mississippi, missing.

Ebb Lewis, 16th Mississippi, missing.

Richard Poplar, cook for 13th Virginia Cavalry. Poplar was captured on the retreat and confined at Fort Delaware for five months, then Point Lookout for 14 months, refusing to take the Oath of Allegiance.

Unidentified, manservant to Lt. Col. Benjamin F. Carter, 4th Texas. He tended to the mortally wounded Carter at a hospital in Chambersburg until Carter's death on July 21.

Unidentified, forager and cook for the 37th Virginia. Presumed captured.

Unidentified, slave of Maj. James C. Bryan, Quartermaster of Col. Lang's Florida brigade. Captured with the trains at South Mountain, along with seven black teamsters from the brigade.

Unidentified, five cooks of the Fluvanna Artillery, captured at South Mountain.

Unidentified, servant of Capt. James P. Cox, 40th Virginia, presumed captured.

Black Confederates, why haven't we heard more about them? National Park Service historian, Ed Bearrs, stated, "I don't want to call it a conspiracy to ignore the role of Blacks both above and below the Mason-Dixon line, but it was definitely a tendency that began around 1910." Historian, Erwin L. Jordan, Jr., calls it a "cover-up" which started back in 1865. He writes, "During my research, I came across instances where Black men stated they were soldiers, but you can plainly see where 'soldier' is crossed out and 'body servant' inserted, or 'teamster' on pension applications."

It has been estimated that over 65,000 Southern blacks were in the Confederate ranks. Over 13,000 of these, "saw the elephant" also known as meeting the enemy in combat. These Black Confederates included both slave and free. Many Confederate officers frequently enlisted blacks with the simple criteria, "Will you fight?" Historian Ervin Jordan, explains that "biracial units" were frequently organized "by local Confederate and State militia Commanders in response to immediate threats in the form of Union raids". Dr. Leonard Haynes, an African-American professor at Southern University, stated, "When you eliminate the black Confederate soldier, you've eliminated the history of the South."

Confederate Siamese Twins Drafted

Chang and Eng, the 19th century's conjoined "Siamese" twins, were once drafted.

Following the brothers' retirement from show business in 1839, they bought 700 acres of land near White Plains, North Carolina, married sisters, adopted an American surname, fathered children, and owned slaves.

According to local legend, toward the end of the war, in 1865, Union General George Stoneman came to the neighborhood to draft area men into the US Army whether they liked it or not. All the names of male residents over 18 were put into a lottery. Eng's name came up, but not Chang's. Of course, as soon as he realized "Eng Bunker" was one-half of the famous inseparable duo, Stoneman let him go.

By the way, each brother had a son who joined the Confederate cause, and both ultimately survived the war.

I am going to dedicate this section of this week's Letter to national politics. I want to start with an eMail I sent to one of our subscribers this week. To lay the groundwork let me say that the following was sent to one of our subscribers who I know is both a godly man and a patriot! He sent out an eMail lamenting the fact that Ted Cruz endured Trump and calling for support of the Constitution Party ticket.

I wrote him back and told him that In the past election cycles I voted for Constitution Party candidates: 2008 - Baldwin, 2004 - Peroutka (who I also traveled with on his campaign trail and also travelled nationally on behalf of as a surrogate), and Howard Philipps in 2000. But I just couldn't get excited about the CP ticket this cycle. He sent me a brief reply repeating something he had spoken to me verbally when we met at an event up North back in August. I respected his thoughts then and still do - I just do not agree and tat is why I gave the reply that you will read below:

I agree, Ted talked a good talk. But if Ted were even partially honest and had any actual fidelity to the Constitution he professed he would have deferred his ambition to the Founders and to the law and he would have never even entertained running. At the very least he would have began the process to amend the constitution and possibly, accomplishing that may then have run. But to do as he did showed a complete and utter disregard for the Constitution that he claimed was his rock and foundation.

As you say, that does not matter to Republicans, hence McCain in 2008 and their refusal to challenge Obama's eligibility in both '08 and again in '12, etc. Obviously, it does not matter to Dem's either.

Ted is a member of a charismatic church but claims to be a Southern Baptist. His resume shows him as having graduated from the 2nd Baptist  School in Houston. True, but he attended a school in Houston called Faith West Academy through his Jr. year only switching in his Sr. year because 2nd was accredited and Faith West was not. I pastored near Houston for over a decade and know both schools and churches well.

Also, Ted's Dad is a flaming charismatic, but on the campaign trail they both proclaimed him to be an independent Baptist. I know you are A/G but even still I doubt you would associate with the Hagins and Copelans that Cruz Sr is running with. Even if you do understand that as much as I disagree with the crowd they run in I could vote for a native born citizen charismatic. I would not discount him on that account.  But one that is not a natural born citizen and who LIES about who he is and what he is really bothers me. If Ted wants to be a Charismatic he should just be one. If Mitt could be an open Mormon why can't the Cruz dad and son be open charismatics? Instead they called themselves Baptist (making sure to have one independent and one Southern to cover the whole spectrum of white Baptists) but they put pentecostal flames on their logo and ads, etc. as a secret code I guess to the charsimatics - the result was that BOTH ends of the christian spectrum saw through it and he came off as disengenuis (which he is) and that is why Christians in droves supported Trump.

Is Donald, as you say, "a foul-mouthed former casino owner"? Yes, but he doesn't hold himself out to be something he is NOT. And while Ted was saying he was the "religious liberty" candidate, Trump was writing books back in 2012 on religious liberty and decrying the Obama administration's horible record and detailing how the State Department and US foriegn and emigration policy could and should be forwarding religious liberty rather than advancing its demise both at home and abroad. Trump was writing about abolishing 501c3 gag rules back in his 2011 book Time to Get Tough. So Trump was appealing to "evangelicals" long before either he or Cruz announced their candidacy.

You had said that sadly, Mormons are often more faithful to biblical principal than professing Christians. That may indeed be a sad truth in some instances. But thats also kinda how I feel about Donald Trump.

Trump, as we know, was taken to church and Sunday School by his mother and much of that made a lasting impression. For example, in one of his early books on business Trump makes the statement that when entering a potential business or enterprise or investment or construction, etc. he does not ask how much money it will make. He only asks how many people it will serve and how. He knows if he serves enough people the money will follow - gee, I wonder who preached that 2,000 years ago? Oh yeah, Jesus. So maybe even though Trump thought that he was goofing off in Sunday School he was actually paying attention on some subconscience level that later has effected the way he does business - huh. And those biblical principals of money and business that Donald probably didn't even realized he was learning as a kid in that Sunday School, have worked phenominally well for him. But they should because God's word works for anyone who applies it, saved or lost. I'd rather have a foul-mouthed man conducting himself with biblical principals that he does not even recognize than to have a professing Christian who preaches biblical principals that he does not practice.

Besides, remember what happened the last several times we elected "Christian" presidents. Born Again Bush? I sing in the Choir at a Baptist Church Clinton? Southern Baptist Sunday School teacher Jimmy Carter? The last decent president we have had was chain smoking, divorced and remarried, Hollywood actor named Ronald Reagan. Who by the way was more used of God and a greater friend to God's people than any of our "Christian presidents" have been.

Is Trump foul mouthed? So was the Apostle Peter. I'm not excusing either. Just saying that God does not always use the vessels that we think He should.

Is Trump a playboy? Maybe he was however many years ago. But at least the man always wound up married and monogomous. Again, I think it was his Presbyterian mother's upbringing. What does the Bible say about training up a child because when they are old they will not depart from it? We are watching Trump returning to a godly upbringing. He may not even see it or realize it.

Is Trump a con-man? It would seem that the media is more than able to spin a few of his thousands of business deals to give that appearance. And no doubt, there are some of his deals where the integrity was not all it could have been. I am not making excuses for him here. Integrity matters. Where it was lacking there is no excuse. That said, an election is a choice. In the primaries we weighed the 17 choices and decided that Trump, regardless of whatever integrity he lacks, had more of it than the other 16. I'll take it a step further, he had more of it than about 13 of them combined. In the general, we have 6 choices. And as I said, who has more integrity than Donald Trump?

Is it the Constitution Party's ambulance chaser candidate and his Mormon side-kick (I mean "running mate")?

Or is it Rocky, the wanna-be Mob-boss who when he couldn't get elected as a Democrat sought the Reform Party nomination on an "anti-corruption" platform?

Maybe its the Libertarian ticket? You know, "I smoke dope every day Johnson" and his running mate whose only bragging point was advancing gay "marriage" in Massachusettes - two jokers who are far more LIBERAL than they are libertarian. Ron Paul was a libertarian - the current "libertarian" ticket is possibly more liberal than Hillary.

Oh yeah, and then there is "I once taught Sunday School in the Methodist Church because I was too big a feminist to go to the Baptist church with my husband" Hillary. Do we really want another "Christian President" named Clinton? Hillary for President? Hell NO! Prison maybe! But not the presidency.

And lets not forget the Green Party candidate.

Again, I'll take my chances with Donald Trump.

Presidential Debates Work Better if the Moderator Doesn't Help the Democrat
by Al Benson Jr.

Presidential debates are hardly my favorite source of entertainment or of information for that matter. Elections are often fraudulent and rigged and so are presidential debates. They are part of what has been dubbed "political theater" by Lew Rockwell. In fact he has a section on his web site www.lewrockwell.com called "political theater."

On our way into church last Sunday morning one of our church members asked me something to the effect of "Do you plan to watch the political mockery tomorrow night?" I can't disagree with his assessment. I've watched enough political debates over the years to know that they are hardly instruments of revealed truth.

If you have two candidates, one of which is supposed to be conservative and patriotic while the other one is a screaming cultural Marxist, you have to know going in, that the moderator and the cultural Marxist are going to work together and gang up on the conservative. It's standard operating procedure. They did it to Mitt Romney when he debated Comrade Obama before the 2012 election charade, not that Romney was any kind of real conservative, but, bad as he was, he made chopped liver out of Obama in their first debate. Obama didn't have his teleprompter and without that he was dead in the water. He had four or five stock lines and all he could do throughout the debate (not possessing an original thought of his own) was to find different ways of restating those stock lines. In their second debate you can be sure the teleprompter was there and the moderator helped Obama carry the debate load with his commentary. By this time Romney knew the game and just played along--the loyal "opposition" as it were.

I hadn't planned on watching this current charade but a friend living in the town I live in invited me over to his house to watch it. When he had lived in the North he had belonged to the Tea Party and so I figured he's pretty much be on the same page as I was, and he is.

And the debate between Trump and "Hillary the unindicted" was a carbon copy of most of the ones I have watched previously. The moderator, Lester Holt bent over backwards to give Hillary as much help as he could possibly give without totally giving himself away and he badgered Trump as much as he could get by with and gave Hillary as much extra time to present her points as he could while restricting Trump to his allotted time. Mr. Holt was in Hillary's corner and that was plain to see. Objective he was not and even his pretense of it was shallow.

Noted libertarian author Tom DiLorenzo had it figured out also and he noted in brief commentary on www.lewrockwell.com that Hillary's running mate had said that: "He hopes the moderator, Lester Holt, will expose Trump's 'lies' while at the same time giving Hitlery time to express her 'vision' for America."

He further said: "This is a warning to Lester Holt from the Clinton Crime Family: Don't do what Matt Lauer did and ask questions and then let the candidate respond to the questions. Badger him, challenge everything he says, insinuate that he is a liar or a buffoon (or better yet, both), interrupt him, while allowing Queen Hitlery to be her good old visionary self. Or else, Lester." I would say Lester responded to the prompting quite well. He was going to make sure he didn't end up being chopped liver.

And so "Queen Hitlery" made her points for her vision for America (no guns for Americans but lots of aliens (preferably illegal) for Americans, although she didn't quite say it that way. If you have learned to understand Marxist doublespeak you know what she was talking about. It was almost as if Mr. Trump had been cautioned not to fight back, a persona that is at odds with where he usually is. I hope this was just a learning experience for him and not something worse, because if it ends up being something worse then you can kiss the country goodbye, and your God-given liberties will be chopped liver.

FROM OUR READERS THIS WEEK

Merlin sends the following:

Joe Biden makes a strong case against having white people living in America - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sYqQQJcNUTE

If Democrats get anymore racist, they're going to have to go back to wearing their white robes and pointy hats with the cut-out eye slits, which has historically been a kind of repressive burka exclusively worn by Democrats.

John Wayne Dobson in Georgia sent this:

The United Nations recently recommended that reparations be paid for slavery. I am sure that pertains to the United States only, and most particularly the South.

When I heard this announcement, I was not surprised. I was, however, indignant, to say the least. All that I want to hear from the U.N. is that they are vacating U.S. soil and that they never again receive a solitary American dollar . I would love to hear that we, as a Nation, had resigned. American business is none of their business.

Secondly, I was a little surprised. Have not reparations been in effect for years in the form of welfare, public schools and affirmative action - maybe not?

Thirdly, I was enlightened. I did not know that there were any living slaves left to receive reparations nor living slave holders to shake down. Paying reparations at this late date is as unjust as blaming a son because his father murdered someone.  Do they really think such a move will heal racial relations?  Are they intentionally trying to start a race war?

Even though slavery, in this Country, started in the good ol' Pilgrim-land of Massachusetts and her haughty sister colony of Rhode Island, the South gets all the blame. It is clearer with each passing day that Southern whites are exceeded only by Jews as the greatest scapegoat in history.

LIBERALS SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED ANYWHERE NEAR SPORTS!

I was walking into the terminal on Grand Bahama island on Saturday and reconnecting with the world via the free-wifi when i read that the Seattle Mariners had suspended catcher Steve Clevenger for the remainder of the Major League Baseball season over controversial tweets in which he called the Black Lives Matter movement and President Barack Obama "pathetic." He also commented about athletes who have been protesting by kneeling during the national anthem at sports events. "Black people beating whites when a thug got shot holding a gun by a black officer haha s--t cracks me up! Keep kneeling for the anthem!" Clevenger tweeted on last week Thursday.

"BLM is pathetic once again! Obama is pathetic once again!"

Clevenger has since made his account private.

Mariners general manager Jerry Dipoto quickly responded to Clevenger's tweets, saying in a statement Thursday that the organization "strongly" disagreed with the player's comments and that it was "examining all internal options" regarding the player: "The Seattle Mariners are very disappointed at the tweets posted on Steve Clevenger's account," Dipoto said in the statement. "While he is certainly free to express himself, his tweets do not in any way represent the opinions of the Seattle Mariners. We strongly disagree with the language and tone of his comments. We are currently examining all internal options that are available to us as we determine appropriate next steps. We will have no further comment at this time."

Dipoto announced last week Friday that Clevenger was officially suspended for the rest of the season. "As soon as we became aware of the tweets posted by Steve yesterday we began to examine all of our options in regard to his standing on the team. Today we have informed him that he is suspended for the remainder of the season without pay," Dipoto said in another statement.

Of course ESPN and Sports Illustrated and all of the major network's feminize "sportscasters"(all liberals by the way who now make up the near totality of mainstream sports journalism and telecasting) are piling on. The few good guys still broadcasting are remaining silent for fear of being fired should they say anything to anger their liberal masters on this one.

There seems to be a gag order throughout baseball on this one. Clevenger was traded to Seattle by the Baltimore Orioles. Orioles manager
Buck Showalter was also asked about the situation involving Clevenger, and he had little to say. When pressed he said, "Do I have a reaction? Yeah. Am I gonna state them publicly? No," Showalter finally stated that,"Obviously, it wasn't good and that's putting it mildly." Beyond that he refuses to comment. And Buck is usually a pretty outspoken guy and also a friend of Clevenger.

Another former teammate of Clevenger, Orioles center fielder Adam Jones, did comment that he did not believe Clevenger to be a racist and expressed discomfort with the whole matter being censored and the fact that players were not being allowed to speak freely.

There also seems to be an effort afoot by the Commissioner and the owners of all 30 MLB teams to ensure that Clevenger never plays again. Do not expect to see him traded or signing as a free agent anywhere next season. The rumor is that Seattle will keep Clevenger on the "suspended" list through 2017 (which they can do contractually) thus preventing him from signing with another team. Of course, that will open up arbitration regarding his salary - but I am willing too bet the Commissioner will cover the owner's wallet on that one.

What I find interesting is that no athlete in any league has yet been suspended for making any of a number of highly generalized attacks on the integrity of the nation's law enforcement officers, though the vast majority of them risk their lives daily and honorably to protect ours. The NFL, you might remember, recently threatened to fine a player for wearing commemorative 9/11 cleats two weeks ago. But San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick was allowed to wear socks in practice portraying police officers as pigs without official rebuke.

Granted, a large number of professional athletes are black and many black people across the spectrum will tell you that they've been living with a huge double standard in this country for several centuries, but that doesn't mean the Black Lives Matter movement or, for that matter, President Obama should be above criticism. If Colin Kapernick can disrespect the National Anthem and call police officers pigs on a professional football field why can't Steve Clevenger tweet that BLM or Obama are "pathetic"? They are!

As many of you know, the political correctness has all but turned me away from college athletics. But I didn't miss it so much because there was always the MLB and the NFL. What will be left for a patriotic southerner to watch next season?

In closing, you Georgia boys will get a kick out of this. So my wife and I are at a restaurant on Sunday. The staff all wearing name tags with their country on them. So the rmaître d' is wearing a name tag with a Russian name I cannot pronounce and the tag says that she is from "Georgia." So I say to her (wearing my Florida Gator shirt) "Go Dawgs!" She looked at me funny not having a clue.

NEW CONFEDERATE MONUMENT ERECTED

Reggie Bennett, commander of the Campbell Guards Camp #2117 - Sons of Confederate Veterans (SCV), said discussions for a monument began in 1905 when veterans of the Confederacy were at a reunion.

The veterans met at the old Campbell County courthouse in Rustburg to discuss a possible monument, but disagreements among the veterans killed the idea, he said.

When Camp #2117 was chartered in 2007, Bennett said one of their first priorities was to raise money for a monument honoring Confederate veterans. "It's going to be history in the making because Campbell is the only county [in Virginia] that did not have a monument or memorial to Confederate veterans," he said.

The monument, recently dedicated, is located at 2196 Red House Road, Rustburg.

Ernest Hines donated a portion of his property on Red House Road for the monument. Hines has three ancestors who fought in the Civil War. Bennett said, "He has a blood connection to it." Hines' great-grandfather was Confederate Capt. Henry Douglas Puckett, who fought and died there.

The camp spent several years raising money to build the monument, about $10,000, and this year raised enough for it.

At the monument, three stones surround an obelisk. The stones represent people with Confederate ancestors the group wanted to honor, another stone for people who donated and a third in honor of Hines' wife, Sadie Hines.

The group, now 47 members strong, continues to raise money for the monument to cover maintenance costs and a future concrete walkway.

Teresa Roane, with the United Daughters of the Confederacy, was the dedication ceremony's keynote speaker and spoke about black Confederate veterans.

She said by phone that men of color did participate in the Confederate Army and often made more money in the Army compared to their fellow soldiers because they would be cooks or blacksmiths, and people tended to earn more money with skilled jobs than they would as regular soldiers.

Anti-Confederate Activists Plan To Demolish Andrew Jackson's Statue In New Orleans

We have reported previously that the people who wanted to demolish Confederate monuments in New Orleans were not going to stop with those monuments. They were going to eventually target Andrew Jackson's statue in Jackson Square. But we didn't think they would get started so soon.

Angry by court delays, the activists at Take 'Em Down NOLA say they will demolish the iconic statue if the Confederate monuments are not demolished by September 24th. On that day, Take 'Em Down NOLA says they will pull down Andrew Jackson's statue during a demonstration.

"We're going to go to Jackson Square. We're going to put ropes around Andrew Jackson and we're going to take him down off his pedestal," Take 'Em Down organizer and longtime civil rights activist Malcolm Suber said during a public forum the group held Thursday night.

The demonstration, scheduled for Sept. 24, will come a few days before judges of the U.S. 5th Circuit Court of Appeals are scheduled to hear arguments over whether to lift an order that halted the removal of the other four statues.

Houston Mayor Pushing to Rename Street in Confederate Officer's Memory

Dowling Street is named for Richard Dowling, who served as a lieutenant in the Confederate Army and led Texas troops. He also was a businessman in Houston after the war.

The Mayor wants the authority to change street names without seeking the approval of the street's residents. That would allow him to unilaterally give Dowling Street a new name.

Feds fund study on health risks of looking at Confederate flag

The U.S. government is funding research to show that Confederate symbols prompt a negative physiological response in black people, information some believe will be helpful in lawsuits aimed at removing them.

Jackson State University received $420,000 in grant funds, some from the National Science Foundation, to delve deeper into the physiological responses of black people to Confederate imagery after initial research allegedly revealed negative reactions, the Jackson Free Press reports.

Political science professor D'Andra Orey concocted a study that blends biology and politics by measuring the heart rate of participants, and how much they sweat, when shown different images like a t-shirt with the Confederate flag, or the Mississippi state flag that contains the Confederate flag. The reactions are compared to responses to "happy images" like penguins or exposure to blank images, and an initial pilot study of black faculty and students at JSU allegedly showed the Confederate images produce a negative physical reaction.

"When you see the flag, and you start sweating, that fits with the sympathetic nervous system," Orey said. "When people have a negative response to these particular images, that means that it impacts them negatively, which is physiologically."

Most recently, Grenada-based attorney Carlos Moore sued Gov. Phil Bryant over the Mississippi State Flag, claiming it is both unconstitutional and negatively impacted his health by raising his blood pressure. U.S. District Judge Carlton Reeves threw out the case, but Moore appealed to the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, the Free Press reports.

The lawsuit was dismissed mostly because Moore could not prove harm from the flag, but Orey's research could change that.

"We're actually trying to see if this negative physiological response can be measured into an injury or can be captured as an injury," he said. "They can say it bothers them, and then it doesn't register in their physiological response while others (can) say, 'it doesn't bother me, I'm immune to it ... but I get (physiologically) pissed off every time I see it," Orey said.

In Moore's case, Judge Reeves ruled that he did now show a "cognizable legal injury" as a result of viewing the state flag, but acknowledged ties between the Confederate battle flag symbol and the state's history of slavery. The ruling makes it clear that regardless of whether the flag makes Moore uncomfortable, there's no constitutional protections for anxiety from state symbols.

"Moore's arguments are phrased as constitutional claims, yet his allegations of physical injuries suggest that he is making an emotional distress tort claim," Judge Reeves wrote. "To succeed in constitutional litigation, however, Moore needs to identify that part of the Constitution which guarantees a legal right to be free from anxiety at State displays of historical racism. There is none."

Baltimore Quietly Contacting Confederate Groups to Unload Statues

What do you do with very large and controversial statues no one wants? That's the dilemma faced by Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake following a city commission recommendation to remove statues in honor of Robert E. Lee, "Stonewall" Jackson, and Supreme Court Chief Justice Roger Taney who authored the infamous Dred Scott decision.

"She wants to find an appropriate place for those monuments, if she decides to go ahead and remove them," said Rawlings-Blake's spokesman, Anthony McCarthy. "It hasn't been as easy, to be honest, as we thought."

In fact, the city has been quietly contacting "Confederate groups" to ask if they would like to buy the statues, The Wall Street Journal reports, but so far the organizations have balked either at the cost or the idea of helping to remove the memorials from public space.

The commission recommended transferring the statues to a national park such as a Civil War battlefield, but it turns out parks aren't allowed to accept the statues unless they were previously "removed from the park and are necessary to achieve the park purpose or authorized legislation."

In the meantime, Rawlings-Blake has ordered new signage for the statues to "explain their historical context."

FLORIDA STUDENT DEFIES SCHOOL

After being told twice by his Clay High School principal this week to take down the confederate flag from his truck, Robert Martin says he plans to keep flying it.

"Where I was born, where I was raised and that flag always stays up. It ain't coming down," said Martin. "They pretty much told me I could suffer a referral every time I show up to school with it on my truck."

"I'm not racist at all. That flag does not stand for racism," said Martin.
Martin said he ended up buying back his parking pass and plans to park off campus until he is allowed back on the property with his flag.

GOODWILL SWORD SELLS FOR $17,250

The auction of a rare Confederate naval sword donated last week garnered thousands of dollars for Goodwill Industries of the Valleys.

Jarrod Hines, owner of Farmer Auctions in Salem, said the sword sold for $17,250, which includes a buyer's premium that goes to the auction house. A Goodwill official was unclear Wednesday exactly how much of the sale will go to the organization.

Hines said he was pleased with the Sept. 15 auction's outcome. The sword was valued at $8,000 to $12,000, but sold for much more.

"Items are worth what buyers are willing to pay for them on that day and at that time, and a lot of times we exceed our expectations," he said.

HILLARY FOR PRISON FLOAT

Amarillo TV station KFDA reports that a float at the annual Tri-State Parade sparked mixed reactions among fairgoers Saturday morning.

A picture of the float was submitted to NewsChannel 10 by a viewer. In the photo, a man wearing a President Obama mask is shown waving to the crowd as the float passes by. The Obama look-a-like is also barricaded inside a makeshift prison alongside a faux Hillary Clinton.

The photo circulated through Facebook over the weekend with some users believing the message was racist. Questions like: "why would you put a black man in a cage?," said Amarillo resident Rodney Darnes.

The float was organized by a group called Stars and Bars and rode along side the Confederate Riders of America. They said the float was strictly a political message.

"It was in no way racist," said Michael Bateman, the President of the Confederate Riders of America. "There was a sign right next to them that said 'Hillary for prison, 2016. We had no racial intentions at all."

You get 44 uncut episodes of the Amos 'n' Andy TV series along with Cast Introductions.

It's a piece of TV and Radio history that I was able to enjoy with my Dad right before he died and just hear him laugh so hard. He loved Kingfish. He would tell me how he remembered this episode or tell me what's going to happen.

The series has been no stranger to controversy!

In 1930, 675,000 signatures were collected in a petition to get it off the air. But the show was more popular with black audiences than white audiences which extended to its eventual television debut and success.

Fans of the show from Jesse Jackson to Redd Foxx have crossed swords with Bill Cosby, who reportedly led the charge to get Amos 'n' Andy removed from television. The fact that Amos 'n' Andy is still popular although it has not been on television since 1966 is a testament to its popularity and comedic genius.

You can only experience Amos 'n' Andy unedited and as it aired through this historic collection.

Secession - the issue that is NOT going away
by Al Benson Jr.

When we lived back in Lincolnian Illinois I used to bring up the subject of secession here and there. Many of the people I worked with laughed (admittedly behind my back)  because in their thinking the secession issue was only something I had wild delusions about and no one else was ever going to think seriously about it. After all, the "Civil War" settled all that didn't it? Sorry folks, it didn't. Nor did that Supreme Court decision in 1869 that supposedly made it illegal really settle anything either.

When the secession issue burst upon the scene again several years ago with many states sending petitions to Sodom on the Potomac stating that people in their respective states wanted to secede by the thousands, one man who had listened to what I said about it back in Illinois sent me an email and said "You're a prophet." Well, not hardly, nor even the son of a prophet, but it wasn't hard to figure out that the secession sentiment, even after 150 years, was still out there. Just because some federal flunky  informed us that "secession is illegal and you can't do that" nothing changed.

There are two variations of the secession question that are out there today, not that you'd ever realize it if you were checking your Evening Fish Wrapper or listening to the Communist Broadcasting Service or the Communist News Network. These great purveyors of all the news that fits the agenda will barely admit to one. And when they do that they always seek to portray its adherents as "gap-toothed racists" who are all second cousins to Hitler and whose granddaddies  were all Grand Dragons in the KKK. This sort of drivel is standard fare for our "news" media and most people should be able to recognize that by now, although if you were "educated" in public schools you might have somewhat of a problem figuring it all out.

One version of the secession question says that the original Confederate States that seceded do not have to do it all over again, that they are still seceded and, basically under federal occupation. In other words "reconstruction" never really ended in the South, we were just told that it did. They lied. Unfortunately many were presuaded to believe the lie. In the interim the federal government has stretched "reconstruction" so that now the entire country labors under it-they just haven't bothered to tell anyone. A slight lapse in their "transparency" I guess.

Author Kirkpatrick Sale, formerly of Vermont but now living in South Carolina, noted in a recent column on http://www.lewrockwell.com that "There are the usual cries against secession: it's illegal, unconstitutional, and pointless, and that it didn't work the last time. But although there was a Supreme Court decision of shaky logic and narrow jurisdiction in 1869 that some have taken to have made secession illegal, there has never been any law passed by Congress against secession and indeed the one time when such a law was proposed it was voted down.  As to what the Founding Fathers thought, the fact that they had no trouble with three states explicitly stating they would join the Union with the provision that they could withdraw anytime they wanted to suggests that originally secession was assumed to be a taken-for-granted right." If Mr. Sale is correct in this it just may be that the folks who have said we are still seceded and don't have to do it all over again have a valid point.

There are others, however, for one reason or another, that feel we do have to do it all over again. The purpose of this article is not to argue with them or to create even more division between the two groups, but to point out that, whichever position you take, there are lots of people out there today that view secession as about the only way left to get out from under the clutches of a tyrannical Marxist-oriented regime that seeks to run, literally, every aspect of our lives-even to how much water we can flush down our commodes when we use them or what kind of light bulbs we can use. They seek to leave no part of our daily lives untouched by their leftist beneficence (and the constant reminder that they have the power and will not hesitate to use it if we fail to tow their line).

Thus it comes as no real surprise that in Texas a Public Policy Polling survey in August of this year found that 61% of those who support Donald Trump have stated that if Hillary Clinton is enthroned in the White House (which is still the plan of the One World Government crowd) they plan to try to get Texas to secede from the Union. It would be interesting to see what percentage of the Trump supporters in other Southern states feel the same way. Personally, driving across the Texas State line from Louisiana into the Republic of Texas when we go there would not bother me all that much.

So we'll keep our eye on the secession question that used to bring so much laughter to some folks I knew up North. It just may be that some of them are not laughing quite so much at its possibilities now as they did earlier. And after the Brexit vote in Britain-who knows? Is there the possibility of a "Texit?"

VIRTUAL REALITY HILLARY MAKING CAMPAIGN APPEARANCES?

On Sept. 16 Jim Stone reported that Hillary Clinton did not appear in North Carolina. What everyone saw was a CGI generated image, and the CGI glitched repeatedly.

In the video these frames were pulled from, Hillary, (AND ONLY HILLARY) glitches repeatedly while the rest of the screen stays clear. In two frames out of the video the glitches are so bad she vanishes entirely in one, and almost completely vanishes in another. This, according to video analysts, can only happen if she is a CGI drop in.

If this report is true it is just mind-blowing. Again, as with similar reports, we provide the video link and you can make up your own mind:

MEXICO WANTS TO BUILD A WALL

It seems Mexico agrees with Donald Trump's plans to build a wall to keep out illegal immigrants - but only on its southern border with Central America.

Mexicans are calling for the border wall to keep out Guatemalans, Salvadorans and Hondurans fleeing violence in their own countries.

hey complain 'hordes' of immigrants pass through on their way to the United States -who are then simply deported back to Mexico rather than their home countries by the US.

Central American migrants are left stuck in border cities with Mexican officials unable to afford to send them back to their own countries, according to an article by one of the largest newspapers in the border state of Tamaulipas, El Mañana, titled: 'Yes to the Border Wall ... but in Mexico's South.'

While Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto has mocked Trump's plans, many Mexicans praised the concept of a border wall. "Trump's idea of a border wall is a good one but it should be on the southern border with Central America in order to stop the flow of Central Americans from entering both countries," the El Mañana board wrote in July. The paper also called for proper immigration checkpoints on the southern border. El Mañana even criticized Hillary Clinton for failing to raise the issue of border security.

The newspaper says that many illegal immigrants turn to crime as shelters can often only provide a few days of food and bedding. "Many of these migrants when they are unable to find an honest way of life turn to robberies, kidnappings, extortion, and in the worst cases join the ranks of organized crime," El Mañana's piece claimed.

DIXIE HERITAGE READER GETS OP-ED IN WASH POST

I was sad and disappointed to read about the Alexandria City Council's vote on the Confederate statue, another example of the popular anti-everything-Confederate hysteria. I guess the removal of Robert E. Lee's pew from Christ Church and the demolition of his boyhood home will be next.

Removing reminders of the Confederacy annoys and disappoints native Alexandrians and Virginians. Maybe the Alexandria City Council should remember a quote from Golda Meir of Israel: "One cannot and must not try to erase the past merely because it does not fit the present." The council should focus on improving the school system, increasing pay for teachers and finding low-cost housing for the needy.

Duty is Ours - The results are God's

9/16/2016

Picture

According to the left, it's not OK to fly the Confederate Flag. But it is OK to protest the American flag and disrespect the national anthem.

Not a day goes by when you do not hear about a new "safe space" being afforded at our expense - where common-sense, reason and the Constitution are suspended in order to appease some offended group.

Remember the rush to indict the Confederate Flag after Dylan Roof went on a killing spree in a black church in Charleston last year? Rather than bringing the nation together,  Barack Obama chose to divide the country, and diminish our freedom in the process.

Banning flags as "offensive" and guns as "dangerous" sounds good as a sound bite to many who've never contemplated freedom.

Freedom is a risky proposition.

It means we have to tolerate the burning of flags as an act of protest - no matter how much we hate it.

It means we endure the obscene and often misogynistic lyrics of hip-hop, rap and other forms of modern music - or we can simply exercise our own freedom to turn them off or change the channel.

And as painful as it might be - especially if you have loved ones in harms way defending the very freedom that others take for granted, it means we allow a Colin Kaepernick to disrespect the flag and the national anthem.

Because a truly great nation is not threatened by acts of protest; it's strengthened by them.
Not everyone agrees.

But the problem is not protestors - be they on the LEFT or on the right. The problem is the tremendous double standard in our society. If your "cause" or "protest" is politically correct or popular with the media, it will be presented in the most sympathetic light.

Case in point: Colin Kaepernick. The media will patiently explain his Fist Amendment right to protest, defending him with the same passion usually reserved for defending their own press freedom.

But when it comes to ideas, symbols or even personalities that are unpopular or severely mischaracterized - the Tea Party, Donald Trump or the Confederate Flag; the media stands up for the "right to not be offended."

The only problem is that the so-called "right to not be offended " does not exist.  It does not exist in our society, nor is it acknowledged anywhere in the Constitution, or in the Bill of Rights.

The government's officials have only one duty - to uphold and defend the Constitution to which each swore an oath.

The Constitution does not grant a 'heckler's veto' to those who are offended.

At a recent School Board meeting someone began to make a point about other things that perhaps should be "banned." Music, movies, even political parties. After all, the Republican Party, which so many in the media and the education establishment would love to ban, was the party formed for the sole and exclusive purpose of opposing the the institution of and the expansion of slavery. It was the anti-Slavery party, period.  When he pointed out that the Democrat party was the pro-slavery party and therefore, according to the Left's logic, was a more worthy candidate to be banned on campus, as if on cue, he got interrupted by a heckler.

Makes my point exactly.

Whether someone is flying the Stars and Bars or the Confederate Flag, or if they dishonor "Old Glory" or are still sitting down during the national anthem; we as a free people should defend their right to do it.

That's freedom. That's the meaning of the First Amendment.

Judge Evokes Mississippi 'Of Slavery, Lynchings, Pain And White Supremacy' In Confederate Flag Ruling

While the Judge dismissed the lawsuit against the Mississippi Flag on the basis that it had no standing under the Constitution, Judge Reeves issued a very longthy opinion in which he outlined legal arguments that he believed should have been used. So this is far from over. Even as I type lawyers on the left are composing new legal actions using Judge Reeve's formula.

Carlos Moore, who filed the original suit, has said that he will file a notice next week asking the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals to revise his lawsuit.

Commission Recommends Removal of Confederate Monuments

A special commission appointed by Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake has recommended removing the city's Confederate Soldiers and Sailors Monument located on Mount Royal Avenue near Mosher Street, the Confederate Women of Maryland Monument located at Bishop Square Park, the Roger B. Taney Monument located at Mt. Vernon Place and the Lee & Jackson Monument, located in Wyman Park Dell.

The Lee and Jackson Monument will be offered to the National Park Service who might possibly place it in the Chancellorsville Battlefield.

The Mayor and City Manager are studying possibly retaining the Confederate Soldiers and Sailors Monument and the Confederate Women's Monument with the addition of financial support and recontexuatlization. That is a nice way of saying that they will spend millions of dollars putting up signs at the monuments telling everyone how "evil" the South, Southerners, and the Confederacy were.

House candidate Nolan West deletes pro-Confederate, anti-Lincoln postings

Nolan West, a GOP legislative aide who is now a candidate for an open Minnesota House seat, apologized Tuesday for his Facebook posts that lauded the Confederacy and told the truth about President Abraham Lincoln.

On the day South Carolina removed the Confederate battle flag from its statehouse grounds in 2015, West reposted an advertisement for the flags on his Facebook page, publicly expressing admiration for the Confederacy and disdain for Lincoln.

In 2011 West marked the day Confederate President Jefferson Davis resigned from the U.S. Senate, 150 years earlier. West also called Lincoln, "the single worst president this country has ever seen."

"I apologize for posting insensitive material," West said in an e-mail. "I've taken those posts down because they do not reflect who I am or what I believe."

West began removing his posts Tuesday when the Star Tribune reported them.

Virginian continues to fight Confederate license plate ban:

It has been a year since Suffolk resident Kevin Collier was ordered to surrender his Sons of Confederate Veterans license plate.

On October 4, 2015, it became illegal to drive with a license plate bearing the confederate flag.

"I am not taking it off and I won't take it off," said Collier.

"It wasn't about hate, it was a battle flag, a battle flag that we fought for," Collier said. "It had nothing to do with hate, and nothing to do with racism."

The DMV mailed out 1,600 newly designed plates to people like Collier. But Collier said he has no interest in a new license plate. Now, a year later, he continues to drive around with his SCV license plate.

"I was born a 150 years too late because I would have loved to have fought for the Confederacy like my ancestors did, but at least I can fight how I can in modern times. I will fight however I can," said Collier.

While he fights for his heritage, he runs the risk of getting in trouble with "the law."
It is a class 2 misdemeanor to drive in Virginia with a vehicle with a canceled license plate.

Confederate Library in Florence to open to public

Besides 450 books and magazines, there's plenty to see in the Confederate Library in Florence.
There are pictures, bullets, a bayonet and other artifacts, including a "hospital bullet" covered with teeth marks.

Most of the artwork is WBTS-era, including a display of documents that belonged to Francis Dooley, who fought for the Confederacy.

His great-grandson, Bookard Dooley of Florence, is working with fellow members of the Sons of Confederate Veterans to grow the library's collection and open it to the public for a few hours a week, perhaps early in the new year.

At 554 E. Collingwood St., the library is located in the building that longtime residents will remember as the studio of photographer Don Stillman, who died in 1996. Some of Stillman's treasures can be seen in the library. Perhaps the oldest one is an 1862 Bible. Another is a card from Union Maj. Gen. G.B. McClellan, signed by the general and his wife, to the Beers family. Having both signatures is what makes the card especially rare, Dooley said.

A visitor can borrow books on both Confederate and Union generals.

Most of the books are from the collection of SCV member Ron Fox. Dooley said after his last renter left and he invested heavily in fixing up the house, he thought he'd use it for his own private library. Fox saw it and noted, "This would be a great place for SCV meetings" and a Confederate library. Dooley agreed.

You don't have to be a SCV member to use the library, Dooley said. "I want to get people interested in American wars; I want them to understand the politics of these wars, the battles and the situations."

Not actually a 'civil' war - Before they have a chance to read it in a book, visitors may hear from Dooley himself that it's a misnomer to call America's pivotal internal conflict the "Civil War." "I try to explain to youngsters and other people that civil wars are fought by two factions trying to take over a country. This was a war of secession and revolution in which the South wanted to leave the United States."

Calling it the "war between the states" isn't quite right either, Dooley continued. "The war wasn't between the states; it was between two entities, two governments." The Southern states wanted to peacefully secede; slavery was an issue, but not the whole story, Dooley said. The North had the population and could have voted at any time to end slavery but was enjoying wealth from the slave trade, Dooley said. "The North was using the power of the vote to infringe upon the weaker states, which caused the Civil War." Lincoln himself said he would free the slaves or not, whatever it would take to save the Union, Dooley said. "It was economics; the South was leaving because they were being unfairly taxed."

The Emancipation Proclamation only freed the slaves in the Southern states, not in the seven Northern slave states. "They kept their slaves" and continued an organized slave trade, Dooley said. After the war ended and the 13th Amendment freed the last of the American slaves, Northern interests continued the illegal trading in slaves with other countries until 1885, Dooley said.

While the WBTS is the centerpiece, it's not the whole story of the Confederate Library. There's also a framed poster of former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein working in a field with some farmers, apparently for a photo-op. There's a room off the main library where small groups of visitors can watch war documentaries, including a series on the Korean War.

Dooley is also displaying the extensive reports he has compiled on the soldiers from his battalion in Vietnam who were killed in action, including a battle in which only he and two other members of his platoon survived.

"I have casualty dates ... I have after-action reports of battles. These were the men that died that day. I have a picture of them, descriptions, stories about them. I've seen a lot of good men die before my eyes. ... I'm putting flesh on them, a soul. ... When you open this up, you're going to see what the mother, the wife, the sister said about them, a memorial. And there are some really sad stories." Some former soldiers get choked up when they see it; others say, "This is what we need."

Why study American wars? The value of studying American wars is so that we understand our past, our present and maybe prepare us for the future," Dooley said.

"Our children are very historically ignorant in a lot of ways, and they're not teaching history the way it should be taught."

Those who have books or artifacts to display at or donate to the library or who would like more information may contact Dooley at dooleytoons@theriver.com or 520-510-7838.

This, of course, violates several laws.

Here is the video:

Hillary joins attack against George Washington

Last week we reported that the president of the San Francisco Board of Education wants "Washington" and "Jefferson" banned as school names, because the American Founders had slaves.

This week the Clinton camp has suggested Washington School be renamed for Maya Angelou.

Is anyone on the left even slightly aware of the fact that we might not even have a country if it were not for George Washington?

What, exactly, would be different if it were not for Maya Angelou? Some things, probably, but somehow it seems unlikely that her absence from American history would greatly change today's society. Oh, but yeah, she was black, so that makes her just as important as any old fuddy-duddy white man.

And, really, it's not fair to drag Angelou through this. She's not the one making ridiculous assertions about the founding fathers, although she had some, um, interesting things to say every now and again.

No, this is all about the new liberal agenda, which is focused on destroying everything that came before the modern Democratic Party. It's not even about race or slavery; those are just convenient excuses to throw out the history books and replace them with propaganda. The real goal is to untether America from its founding and everything that includes: God, the Constitution, and an unforgiving stance against tyranny.

Those are the things standing in the way of the ultimate goals of the liberal movement. And one way or the other, the left is determined to see them die.

Trump actually predicted this.

In his 2015 book Crippled America: How to Make America Great Again, Donald Trump addressed the attacks by the left against the Confederate Flag and against the ideals of our Founding Fathers. He actually predicted this mess before it began. He also outlined a solution whereby America would become great again by reconnecting with its heritage and re-establishing the ideals of our Founding Fathers.

One of the biggest reasons why the media is trying to paint Trump as a racist is because Trump is trumpeting the Founder's ideas and that SCARES the left beyond belief.

Crippled America really is a MUST-READ book. Even if you do not like Donald Trump and are already determined that you will never vote for him - and I know we have a few of those because you eMail me - you are cheating yourself by not reading this book.

Are Half of Donald Trump's Supporters 'Deplorable?'

Hillary says so!

Here are some pictures of Trump supporters who Hillary says are "deplorable."

Picture
Most of us normal people have a very difficult time keeping up with all the various appropriate and inappropriate terms used to reference people and their causes. Not Donald Trump. He makes "brash" and uncompromising statements about issues many people feel very passionate about.

For example, when he spoke about illegal immigration, he made statements that many people agree with and are afraid to state. A lot of that fear is a fear of being labeled a racist or a fear of violating constantly changing societal norms.

It's frustrating to listen to politicians speak and make no statements. It's even more frustrating to watch politicians fold in the presence of the slightest bit of pressure.

The appeal of Trump isn't because I believe that he will always make the right decisions. It's the hope that he will influence at least a few of the other politicians to make strong statements regardless of the backlash.

He makes the "Political Correctness Cops" uneasy - yeah, I admit it, this issue has me doing a LOT of editorializing!

Confederate sword donated to Rocky Mount Goodwill store

A Goodwill worker with a good eye spotted what turned out to be a rare Confederate sword.

The item was donated to the Rocky Mount Goodwill store then sent to Farmer Auctions in Salem to be appraised.

"We see a lot of unique items, but something with this sort of historical significance and value, not as frequently. So it's exciting right now," said Goodwill E-Commerce Manager, April Dalton.

Appraisers looked it over for indicators that it was authentic and a not a reproduction. It turned out the sword was an original Confederate officers dress sword made in England for a company in South Carolina.

"This sword would have been purchased by an officer," explained Farmer Auctions owner Jarrod Hines. "This type of sword is expensive as it was something that they offered to the officers, but they had to buy their own sword for their dress uniform. And this would have been one of those."

The sword is expected to go for anywhere from $5,000 to $10,000 when it's sold at auction, Hines said. The money raised will go toward supporting Goodwill programs.

A 53-46 vote! It proves just how tenuous our freedoms are with the left running rampant.

Too close for comfort!

THIS WEEK IN CONFEDERATE HISTORY

September 15, 1862 - Confederate General Thomas "Stonewall" Jackson captures Harpers Ferry, Virginia as well as 12,500 Union soldiers.

The Federal garrison inside Harpers Ferry was vulnerable to a Confederate attack after Lee's invasion of Maryland. The strategic town on the Potomac River was cut off from the rest of the Union army. General George B. McClellan, commander of the Army of the Potomac, sent messages to Union General Dixon Miles, commander of the Harpers Ferry garrison, to do whatever was necessary to hold the town.

McClellan promised to send help, but he had to deal with the rest of the Confederate army.

Jackson rolled his artillery into place and began to shell the town on September 14. The Yankees were short on ammunition, and Miles offered little resistance before agreeing to surrender on the morning of September 15. General Julius White rode to Jackson to negotiate surrender terms and one Confederate cannon continued to fire. Miles was mortally wounded by the last shot fired at Harpers Ferry.

The Yankees surrendered 73 artillery pieces, 13,000 rifles, and 12,500 men at Harpers Ferry. It was the largest single Union surrender of the war. The fall of Harpers Ferry convinced Lee to change his plans. After his forces had been defeated at the Battle of Crampton's Gap and had suffered heavy losses at the Battle of South Mountain to the northeast of Harpers Ferry, Lee had intended to gather his scattered forces and return to Virginia. With Harpers Ferry secure, he summoned Jackson to join the rest of his force around Sharpsburg, Maryland.

Two days later, on September 17, Lee and McClellan fought the Battle of Antietam.

SOUTHERN BAPTISTS FOR SOUTHERN HERITAGE

One of the early leaders in the establishment of the Southern Baptist Convention was the Georgian William T. Wofford.

At the outbreak of the WBTS Wofford, a veteran of the Mexican-American War, offered himself for Confederate service and was elected Colonel of the 18th Georgia Infantry. In 1863 President Jefferson Davis promoted him to Brigadier General, giving him the Command of General Cobb's Brigade that included the 18th Georgia. He commanded the last significant group of Confederate soldiers east of the Mississippi to surrender to Union troops.

After the war he helped the Georgia Baptist Convention to establish Cherokee Baptist College, serving the college as President and then for years as a Trustee. The Georgia Baptist Convention continues to operate the College as Shorter University.

William Wofford was an attorney, educator, Confederate general, and a foundational leader of Southern Baptists both nationally and in Georgia. The dedication and prayerful labor of men like General Wofford should be honored, not disdained, by the Southern Baptist Convention's leadership because they owe much of their modern day measure of blessing to the faithful and godly men and women who blazed the trail.

FROM OUR READERS:

Chaplain Ed, Good newsletter (as usual).  Noting the article about the ten worst presidents made me think of a good book I read recently and wanted to recommend to others..."9 Presidents Who Screwed Up America and 4 Who Tried to Save Her," by Brion McClanahan. It had many of the same demons listed.

All the best,

How canst thou contend with horses?

Jeremiah 12:5 says,  "If thou hast run with the footmen, and they have wearied thee, then how canst thou contend with horses? and if in the land of peace, wherein thou trustedst, they wearied thee, then how wilt thou do in the swelling of Jordan?"

I believe that those of us in the "Liberty Movement", whether we call ourselves "Southern Patriots" or "Three Percenters" or "Secessionists" or "Anarcho-Capitialists" or some other appellation will face only increasingly daunting opposition in the months and years to come.

We dare not allow the footmen (the infantry) to weary us . . . for surely the horses (the cavalry/ the armor) is on the way.

I believe that we share much in common with Old Testament prophet Jeremiah. He was called to speak God's truth to the nation of Israel, but there few willing to hear that truth. In human terms his ministry saw little success. He was hated, he was abused, he was persecuted, he was imprisoned, and attempts were made upon his life. In fact he was declared to be a "traitor" . . . a charge I have had levied upon me more than once.

Jeremiah loved his people and he loved the truth. He was compelled by the Spirit of God to warn Israel concerning their departures from truth and the inevitable results that would come of it. Unfortunately, he would live to see his nation decline into heathenism, captivity and subjugation. I believe that we ourselves may experience those same calamities in the not too distant future.

Jeremiah was oft times given to discouragement - after all, there was a reason he was called "the  weeping prophet." Yet, in spite or all, he was a man with the fire of God within. He believed in his mission and though he often contemplated quitting, he always found himself unable to do so.

I believe that those of us who are truly called to this conflict cannot quit either, though we may often feel like doing so.

Jeremiah 20:7-9, "O LORD, thou hast deceived me, and I was deceived: thou art stronger than I, and hast prevailed: I am in derision daily, every one mocketh me. For since I spake, I cried out, I cried violence and spoil; because the word of the LORD was made a reproach unto me, and a derision, daily. Then I said, I will not make mention of him, nor speak any more in his name. But his word was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I was weary with forbearing, and I could not stay."

Those of us committed to liberty, and called to advance it, must needs prepare ourselves and steel ourselves for what is to come, for very soon we must contend with the horses.

We may not see success in our day, but we must do our duty, as General Jackson would remind his troops: "Duty is Ours; Consequences are God's."

Let us take up the spirit of Jeremiah, of Jackson and of the old Scottish warrior, Sir Andrew Barton, who said:

"Fight on, my men,I am hurt, but I am not slain; I'll lay me down and bleed a while, And then I'll rise and fight again."

America Lost A Great Patriot

Phyllis Schlafly passed away this week at the age of 92. She was the matriarch of the pro-life movement. It might be safe to say that the national Republican Party would not even have a pro-life plank in its platform without the influence of Phyllis Scholarly.

Founder of Eagle Forum, Phyllis was possibly the most influential woman of her era. She was a modern-day Abigail Adams. She was a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, scholar, freedom fighter, and role model.

Sadly, the last few months of her life were enmeshed in betrayal and attack--not from her enemies, but from her so-called friends and even from a family member. They were angry with Phyllis because she publicly supported Donald Trump for President and not Ted Cruz. They were so vindictive and hateful that they attempted to wrestle control of Eagle Forum away from her over it--even to the point of taking Phyllis to court. The attacks against Phyllis from her so-called friends--especially at her age--may have directly contributed to her sudden demise. No one but God will ever really know.

She urged Wisconsin voters to reject Neocon House Speaker Paul Ryan in his primary election).

Phyllis was America-First.

SEPTEMBER 28th CONFEDERATE COURT CASE

The court dispute over four New Orleans monuments honoring WBTS figures will be heard by the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals on Sept. 28. The court recently set the date in a case that pits City Hall against the SCV and supporters of the monuments. The City Council voted for removal in December, leading to the court fight.

Assemblyman Defends Display of Confederate Flags

A price is being paid for freedom of speech in Lake Arrowhead, where a group of high school students displaying Confederate flags on their pickup trucks have suffered a backlash of vandalism, harassment and violence, police and witnesses said.

Twin Peaks assemblyman Tim Donnelly, who came to the defense of the students during a Sept. 1 Rim of the World Unified school board meeting, said that is the price to pay in a country where freedom of speech is a constitutional right.

"Freedom is risky," Donnelly said in a telephone interview. He said the students flying the Confederate and American flags staked in the backs of their pickups are model citizens. Some are enlisted to serve in the military, he said.

During the Sept. 1 school board meeting, Donnelly said the issue was being debated better there than in the state Legislature.

Donnelly said, "The right to not be offended does not exist in our Constitution."

"The right to free expression, the right to freedom of speech, is inculcated and enshrined in the First Amendment along with the freedom of the press and the freedom of religion," "If we start making offensive behavior, or music or symbols the arbiter, then we have granted a heckler's veto."

Lawrence King, assistant superintendent of personnel for the Rim of the World Unified School District, said no more than 10 people, including parents and students, have complained about the flag displays since the students began parking their pickups in the high school parking lot when the school year began in mid-August.
Picture
Those displaying the Confederate and "Don't Tread on Me" flags in their trucks, including former students who have graduated, started experiencing blowback about a month before the 2016-2017 school year began.

About 7:30 p.m. July 28, Kenard McLaughlin, 67, of Cedar Glen was arrested and booked into the Central Detention Center in San Bernardino after he drove his truck toward a group of teens and young adults displaying the Confederate and Donald Trump flags in the beds of their pickup trucks in the Stater Bros. parking lot at 28200 Lakeside Road, said Gilbert Flores, spokesman for the Twin Peaks sheriff's office. "The argument started over the Confederate flags. McLaughlin said it was a racist flag, and the argument escalated from there," Flores said.

Words were exchanged between McLaughlin and the group of teens and young adults, said Flores, who would not identify any of the adults because they were victims of an alleged crime.
"He got into his vehicle and sped toward the group," Flores said of McLaughlin, adding that McLaughlin was reportedly traveling about 25 mph.

A witness who had a concealed weapons permit and was carrying a gun pulled his weapon and pointed it at McLaughlin, stopping him and making a citizen's arrest. Police were called and McLaughlin was arrested on suspicion of attempted assault with a deadly weapon, Flores said. McLaughlin posted bond on a $25,000 bail and was released from custody, Flores said.

District Attorney spokesman Christopher Lee said Wednesday in an email that the case was sent back to the sheriff's office for additional investigation.

Reached by telephone Wednesday, McLaughlin declined to comment.

Christel Gomez, the parent of one of the July 28 victims - a 17-year-old senior at Rim of the World High School - said her son and his friends were helping a man jump-start his truck when they were confronted by McLaughlin. "They tried to explain what the flag meant to them, but he kept telling them it was racist and continued to yell at them," Gomez said. She said the man who pulled the gun on McLaughlin was the man her son and friends were assisting.

The harassment continues, Gomez said. Over Labor Day weekend, she said someone kicked a doughnut-sized dent in the passenger side door of her son's pickup. The same day, a friend of her son's also displaying the flags had the oil drained from his pickup. Not knowing the oil had been drained, he drove his truck to school for wrestling practice, Gomez said. "His oil light came on. A guy came and towed the truck from the school. God knows what kind of damage that caused," Gomez said.

On Sept. 2, the Twin Peaks sheriff's station received a call from the parent of one of the students displaying the Confederate flags in his truck, informing deputies his son had been tailgated by someone and then flipped off, Gomez said. He said the man's son was not threatened. "It seems like he just wanted to document the incident in case anything happened in the future," Flores said.

The ACLU SoCal insists that the Confederate flag is a symbol of hate and intolerance which celebrates a war fought to keep people in bondage and terrorizes the descendants of the enslaved. And at the same time, it is ACLU attorneys defending the students right to free speech by displaying the flag.

San Francisco school board president calls for the renaming of schools

George Washington, the first American president, has his face on the quarter and the $1 bill. So many things are named after him - counties, towns, mountains, bridges, lakes and countless schools.

But the president of the San Francisco School Board, Matt Haney, wants to change the names of any of the city's schools that are named after slave owners such as Washington and Thomas Jefferson.

"We should rename Washington High School after San Francisco native, poet and author Maya Angelou. Maya Angelou High School. No schools named after slave owners," Haney wrote on his Twitter account Sunday.

He said he got the idea Sunday after San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick's decision not to stand during two NFL preseason games.

George Washington High School, Haney said, has a mural of  Washington.
"I'm ashamed that mural is there," Haney said.

School names often have led to heated debate in California and across the country.

In a phone interview Wednesday, Haney said, "We want to make sure the full diversity of our community is reflected."

Haney said he has receive mostly positive feedback, though some people have taken issue with his focus on George Washington.

Haney said he plans to introduce the resolution before the end of the month.

Below is an article from Europe that we neither agree with nor do we endorse it. But we share it for informational purposes because several of our readers have brought it to our attention:

Donald Trump Has Resurrected a Confederate Worldview
BY IAN MCCREDIE

Trump has led white working-class America into a state of war.

Donald Trump claims that he has resurrected the voice of the industrial-age white working class who still cling to the conservative social beliefs of the 1950s. He has stirred up their passions, given them false hope and is leading them to defeat. He is the Jefferson Davis of our time.

One reason the Confederate States of America seceded from the Union was because they believed that they were the real and original United States. They thought the North had taken a wrong path and betrayed the revolution. The Confederate States were largely rural, their economy agricultural and society hierarchical. Protestant white men were at the top and black slaves at the bottom-just like all of America of 1776.

But by 1861, the North was different. Slavery was gone and the economy was industrializing and attracting new immigrants who wanted change. In the opinion of the South, the North was also awash with dangerous liberal ideas that contradicted the vision of the Founding Fathers. But, as we know, the Confederate view of the world has gone with the wind.

Despite the Civil War, most of America in the 1950s was still hierarchical and conservative, with Protestant white men at the top. However, there was now a more diverse but still quiescent mixture of aspiring immigrants, restless young people, independent-minded women and hopeful African Americans-mostly fugitives from the segregated South-at the bottom.

They had yet to realize their political strength, though they would not have to wait long. It was a time when the old industrial economy was vibrant and all could benefit, providing there was no challenge to the social norm. Back then to be a white working-class man was to be part of the dominant culture. This America still exists, not geographically compact like the old South, but dispersed among us.

AMERICA OF 2016
The America of 2016 is vastly different: White men are no longer the majority voters. The disenfranchised minorities, as well as women, the young and the LGBT community have found their own powerful voices, gained their voting rights and representation. Diversity and a rainbow of liberal social views are the main cultural influences.

The new knowledge and technological economy is booming, and America is immersed in the complexity and challenge of globalization. But not all America. For just as in 1861 there is still that other America, white and hierarchical, trapped in the now-declining old economy and the social conventions of 60 years ago.

And, like the Confederates, many of them feel their way of life-what they believe to be the real America-has once again been betrayed. Of course they want to hang on to their world and, if they could, turn the clock back for the rest of us.

This time they cannot secede, although Donald Trump has nonetheless led them into war-a war they will naturally lose. When they do, like the defeated Confederates, this group will not go away but will continue to simmer and seethe with resentment.

Reconstruction, reconciliation and reintegration of the millions who feel Trump has spoken for them must not be neglected or America will forever be two nations.

Editor's Note: Its obvious what the writer of this column thinks of Donald Trump. But is it also possible that his warped view of our country and its history is shared by a large number of Brits and Europeans? Scary thought!

In the 1880's the English view of America was very different. And so was the English view of the Confederacy.

In 1889 a British General authored An English View of the American Civil War.

GENERAL WOLSELEY AID TO ROBERT E. LEE

Field Marshal Garnet Joseph Wolseley, 1st Viscount Wolseley (4 June 1833 - 25 March 1913) was an Anglo-Irish officer in the British Army. He became one of the most influential and admired British generals after a series of successes in Canada, West Africa, and Egypt, followed by a central role in modernizing the British Army in promoting efficiency. He served in Burma, the Crimean War, the Indian Mutiny, China, Canada and widely throughout Africa-including his Ashanti campaign (1873-1874) and the Nile Expedition against Mahdist Sudan in 1884-85. Wolesley served as Commander-in-Chief of the Forces from 1895 to 1900. His reputation for efficiency led to the late 19th century English phrase "everything's all Sir Garnet", meaning "all is in order.

In November 1861, Wolseley was one of the special service officers sent to Canada in connection with the Trent incident.

In 1862, shortly after the Battle of Antietam, Wolseley took leave from his military duties and went to investigate the American War.

He befriended Southern sympathizers in Maryland, who found him passage into Virginia with a blockade runner across the Potomac River. There he met with the Generals Robert E. Lee, James Longstreet and Stonewall Jackson. He also provided an analysis on Lieutenant General Nathan Bedford Forrest. The New Orleans Picayune (10 April 1892) published Wolseley's ten-page portrayal of Forrest, which condensed much of what was written about him by biographers of the time. This work appeared in the Journal of the Southern Historical Society in the same year, and is commonly cited today.

THE UNTHINKABLE?

One of our longtime Dixie Heritage readers, Bob Eoff, has also been a friend for the last 2 decades. In the nearly 20 years that I have known Bob he has been a bank VP and then a bank president. So when he calls himself a "career banker" in the article below please note that you are not reading passive commentary by someone who worked as a teller or loan officer but by someone who has managed banks for many years at a high executive level.

The fact that Bob has taken the time to put this out here tells me that this is big:

NEGATIVE INTEREST RATES WILL AFFECT AMERICA

This has been a lead story on Yahoo for the past several days.

As a 42 year career banker I am perplexed and have a lot of interest and questions about what potential "negative interest rates" means and how they might apply to average consumers and lowly citizen-subjects beholden to our masters who-art-in Washington D.C by the economic policy dictated by what is known as "The Fed" consisting of unelected bureaucrats.  .

There have been many recent articles about the doom of the U.S. dollar.  One recent article predicting September 30 by Jim Rickards many of you may have seen.   It's been a long time coming but we need to be prepared.  See: Jim Rickards video.    Jim Rickards is not a quack.  Many have been wrong predicting doomsday dates.  But I'm afraid it is coming, and in our lifetime.  What impact it will have on America and the world, God knows.

Please refer to the book authored by Willard Cantelon titled: The Day the Dollar Dies.

Mr. Cantelon predicted the death of the prominence of the dollar in his book in 1973 but his prediction appears to have taken years to be fulfilled.  I'm afraid we may see it before our very eyes soon.

FROM PASTOR CHUCK BALDWIN:

A few days ago, I posted my list of the top ten worst U.S. presidents on my Facebook page.

People who are familiar with my writings should not be surprised at my list, although many people who read my Facebook post did act surprised. Of course, these could have been people who aren't that familiar with my writings after all.

At any rate, with my Facebook post I made my list without explanation. I will use this column to share a little bit of the reasoning behind my selections. So here goes: my top ten worst presidents in U.S. history:

1. Abraham Lincoln (Republican)
Without an ounce of doubt in my mind, Abraham Lincoln is America's absolute worst President. He did not free a single slave; but what he did do was begin the process of enslaving free men. It is no hyperbole to say that Lincoln truly governed as a dictator, not as a President.

Virtually every single problem we are having today (and have had ever since Lincoln's presidency) with an overbearing, encroaching, authoritarian federal government in Washington, D.C., came as a direct result of Abraham Lincoln's presidency. EVERY SINGLE ONE!

Abraham Lincoln destroyed the Washington/Jeffersonian model of American government and replaced it with an imperial White House. His own statements prove that he cared absolutely nothing for the black race and was indeed himself a racist--unlike many leaders of the Confederacy, such as Robert E. Lee, T.J. "Stonewall" Jackson, et al., who publicly and adamantly spoke in support of ending slavery and NEVER said anything remotely derogatory or racist against the black people.

Beyond that, in his first inaugural address Lincoln actually SUPPORTED an amendment to the U.S. Constitution (which would have been the 13th Amendment) proposed by Ohio Congressman Thomas Corwin that said, "No amendment shall be made to the Constitution which will authorize or give to Congress the power to abolish or interfere, within any State, with the domestic institutions thereof, including that of persons held to labor or service by the laws of said State." In other words, the amendment would have forever guaranteed the right of people to own slaves.

Lincoln violated every constitutional restraint on the office of the President possible. He used the Union army to invade independent sovereign states, and he invaded the State legislature in Maryland, kidnapping and incarcerating the legislators to prevent them from voting on secession. He used force to bully and intimidate other State legislatures in the North to keep them from supporting southern independence. He authorized Union forces to hunt down and imprison "Copperheads" (individuals in the North who supported southern independence).

While Lincoln drafted black men from the North to serve in the Union army in segregated units, southern blacks were fighting voluntarily side-by-side with the white men--in the same units as the white men. And what most history books fail to mention is that there were reportedly over 300,000 slave owners fighting in Lincoln's Union army during the Civil War. (Mildred Lewis Rutherford, "Jefferson Davis, the President of the Confederate States, and Abraham Lincoln, the President of the United States," 1861-1865, p. 35)
Lincoln's so-called Emancipation Proclamation was an attempt to give the North moral justification for continuing his unconstitutional and immoral war of aggression against the South (and which the North was miserably losing after two years into the war) by issuing an edict to a nation that had already seceded (the Confederacy) and in which he had NO AUTHORITY, while leaving the institution of slavery completely intact among the states in which he did have authority (the Union). Lincoln was also hoping that his proclamation would incite southern blacks to insurrect against the southern states. However, this goal was never remotely accomplished.

England's William Wilberforce had already shown how slavery could be peacefully ended. The institution of slavery was already dying in the United States. There was absolutely NO REASON why over 600,000 Americans had to die in Lincoln's War of Aggression. Abraham Lincoln cared nothing about freeing slaves; what he cared about was enslaving free and independent states to an all-powerful, dictatorial federal government.

There really wasn't a "bad" President before Lincoln. But with Lincoln as a model and with the constitutional restraints against an imperial presidency left torn in shreds, we haven't had an abundance of "good" presidents since him. In fact, without Abraham Lincoln the nine "worst" presidents below would probably have never been President.

(I highly encourage readers to read the excellent book "The Real Lincoln" by Thomas DiLorenzo.)

2. Woodrow Wilson (Democrat)

Woodrow Wilson took Lincoln's vision of subjugated states to a global level. In one year, Wilson did more to destroy whatever vestiges of a free republic that were left after Lincoln than any President since. That year was 1913. It was a year that should live in infamy. Woodrow Wilson shackled the American people with the following:

February 3, 1913
This is the date when the 16th Amendment was ratified and the direct income tax and IRS were instituted. This was a flagrant repudiation of freedom principles. What began as a temporary measure to support the War of Northern Aggression became a permanent income revenue stream for an unconstitutional--and ever growing--central government.

April 8, 1913
This is the date when the 17th Amendment was ratified. This amendment overturned the power of the State legislatures to elect their own senators and replaced it with a direct popular vote. This was another serious blow against State sovereignty. The framers of the Constitution desired that the influence and power in Washington, D.C., be kept as close to the people and states as possible. For example, the number of representatives in the House of Representatives was to be decided by a limited number of voters. In the original Constitution, the ratio of "people of the several States" deciding their House member could not exceed "one for every thirty thousand." (Article. I. Section. 2. Paragraph. 3.) And when it came to the US Senate, the framers also recognized the authority of each State legislature to select its own senators, thereby keeping power and influence from aggregating in Washington, D.C.

The 17th Amendment seriously damaged the influence and power of the states by forcing them to elect their US senators by popular vote. Senators who answered to State legislators, each answering to a limited number of voters, were much more accountable to the "citizens of the several States" than those who were elected by a large number (many times numbering into the millions) of people. For all intents and purposes (at least in the larger states), US Senators are more like "mini-Presidents" than representatives of sovereign states.

December 23, 1913
This is the date when the Federal Reserve Act was passed. This Act placed oversight of America's financial matters into the hands of a cabal of private international bankers who have completely destroyed the constitutional principles of sound money and (for the most part) free enterprise. No longer would the marketplace (private consumption, thrift, growth, etc.) be the determinant of the US economy (which is what freedom is all about), but now a private, unaccountable international banking cartel would have total power and authority to micromanage (for their own private, parochial purposes) America's financial sector. Virtually every recession, depression, and downturn has been the direct result of the Fed's manipulation of the market.

1913 was not a good year for the United States. And Woodrow Wilson was our second worst President.

3. Franklin Delano Roosevelt (Democrat)

F.D.R. was America's first socialist President. His "New Deal" was actually a "Raw Deal." Roosevelt forever engrained into the psyche of the American public the idea that government spending and involvement is the answer to ALL of our nation's problems. He convinced people that the only way they could be delivered from "The Great Depression" was for them to accept government jobs and handouts. This was in spite of the fact that "The Great Depression" was actually caused by the Feds vastly expanding credit and Washington, D.C., vastly increasing taxes--among other dismal government actions. In other words, "The Great Depression" was typical of the way big-government toadies routinely operate: first government creates the problem, and then it claims to be the solution to the problem that it has created. And let's not forget, F.D.R. also illegally confiscated the personal gold holdings from the American people.
Roosevelt was also the President that did the yeoman's share of work in preparing the United States to reject American independence and embrace globalism. What Woodrow Wilson had failed to accomplish with the attempted League of Nations, Roosevelt accomplished by laying the framework for the United Nations, which came into fruition under his successor Harry Truman.

Roosevelt was also the man responsible for aiding and abetting communism in Eastern Europe and elsewhere. I think it is also accurate to say that F.D.R. purposely goaded Japan into war and surreptitiously stalled Japan's Declaration of War until after Pearl Harbor was bombed in order to further incite the American people. I believe he also made sure that the defenses that should have seen the Japanese attack coming were not operational. Not to mention his unconscionable internment of Japanese Americans during the war.

Abraham Lincoln gave America an imperial presidency. Woodrow Wilson gave America globalism. F.D.R. gave America socialism.

4. Lyndon Baines Johnson (Democrat)

L.B.J. was an F.D.R. on steroids. He took American socialism to heights Roosevelt could have only dreamed of. Johnson's "Great Society" permanently ensconced a welfare society into the fabric of America, which has resulted in the destruction of both our economic system and the family unit--especially in the black community.

Before Johnson's "Great Society," black families were largely intact and out-of-wedlock births were an exception to the rule. Not anymore! Now, over 70% of births in the black community are out of wedlock. For all intents and purposes, Johnson's "Great Society" replaced black husbands and fathers with Uncle Sam and took away the black man's self-respect and dignity. No wonder today's black males comprise such a large percentage of the prison population.

Lyndon Johnson is also responsible for the Gun Control Act of 1968, which is the grandfather of ALL of our modern gun control laws. As a U.S. Senator from Texas, Johnson is also the man that successfully gagged and muzzled America's pastors and churches with the passage of his amendment to the 501c3 section of the Internal Revenue Code in 1954. Of course, Johnson also took America into the unconstitutional war in Vietnam. And I personally believe that L.B.J. was a conspirator to John F. Kennedy's assassination. Lyndon Johnson was a terrible President and an awful man.

5. George W. Bush (Republican)

Lincoln gave us the imperial presidency; Wilson gave us globalism; F.D.R. gave us socialism; L.B.J. gave us welfarism, gun control, and cowardly churches; and G.W. Bush gave us a burgeoning Police State, perpetual war, and Neocons.

What Bill Clinton and Al Gore could not do, G.W. Bush did with ease: shackle the United States with the hugely misnamed and tyrannical USA PATRIOT Act. He also gave us the Department of Homeland Security and the Military Commissions Act. Bush also illegally seized and held two American citizens in indefinite detention without a trial, which led Barack Obama to add the indefinite detention sections into the NDAA in order to justify what Bush had done and in order to give future presidents the same authority. Bush also expunged Posse Comitatus in America. He illegally invaded two sovereign nations, Iraq and Afghanistan. He created the "preemptive war" doctrine that still guides America's foreign policy today. His policies and actions directly contributed to the rise of Islamic terror groups such as ISIS and the invasion of illegal immigrants in Europe and the United States. The phony "war on terror" is G. W. Bush's war.

G.W. Bush and his presidential successors have killed more people in their various and sundry wars of aggression than Abraham Lincoln. And these ongoing wars of aggression that started under Bush--and that continue to the present day--have completely destabilized the entire Middle East and much of Europe and, if allowed to continue, will doubtless take America into World War III.

Plus, G.W. Bush's failure on 9/11 is of seismic proportions. Either his administration was totally inept in preventing and/or responding to 9/11 (especially Saudi Arabia's potential involvement), or, if one accepts the conspiracy theories, elements within his administration actually conspired to facilitate the attacks on 9/11. Either way, Bush's performance on 9/11 was dismal at best or traitorous at worst.

Virtually every unconstitutional tool that Barack Obama has used in his disastrous presidency was handed to him on a silver platter by G.W. Bush.

6. Barack Obama (Democrat)

Barack Obama set many firsts for America. He is America's first Muslim President; America's first Marxist President; and the first President not born to an American citizen or in the United States as required by the U.S. Constitution. I think anyone who believes Obama was born in Hawaii is intellectually challenged. Obama's single greatest administrative disaster is his socialized health care plan, known as Obamacare. Without a doubt, this leviathan is a death sentence to America's future medical system. Generations of Americans yet to come will curse the day Barack Obama and the members of Congress that assisted him were allowed to create this medical monstrosity.

Obama is also the laziest President in history. He has taken more vacations, played more rounds of golf, and spent more taxpayers' dollars on pleasure trips than any President before him. But, to me, it's a good thing he is so lazy. Think of the damage he could have done if he wasn't.

7. William Jefferson Blythe Clinton (Democrat)

Bill Clinton is the only President to be impeached besides Andrew Johnson. Perjury is a serious crime, and if the Republicans in the Senate had had any man-stuff, they would have removed him from office. But perjury was not all Clinton was guilty of.

Clinton's cozy deals with the Communist Chinese and the bribes paid to him by foreign governments are well-documented. Bill Clinton was probably the most corrupt President since U.S. Grant. And that corruption continues with Hillary Clinton. Should Hillary be elected President in November (God forbid!), she will doubtless join this ignoble list of horrific presidents.

Another major stain on the Clinton record is the way his government murdered nearly one hundred innocent men (most of them elderly), women, and children outside Waco, Texas. Then again, the Clinton body count is probably much higher than that. The people who ran afoul of Clinton's good graces and ended up mysteriously dead number in the scores.

8. George Herbert Walker Bush (Republican)

G.H.W. Bush is the granddaddy of the modern Neocons. He is the first U.S. President to publicly call for a global "New World Order." And I personally believe that, along with L.B.J., G.H.W. Bush was also a conspirator in John Kennedy's murder.

In reality, the administrations of Bush I, Clinton, Bush II, and Obama are nothing more than one long, continuous administration. There really has not been any policy change of substance in the White House since G.H.W. Bush.

Bush I is also responsible for the government murders of Vicki and Sammy Weaver at Ruby Ridge, Idaho. Along with the Clinton administration's murder of the Branch Davidians near Waco, Texas, the Bush-sponsored murders of the Weavers has done more to make Americans distrust and despise their central government than anything since the Boston Massacre in 1770.

9. Ulysses S. Grant (Republican)

Suffice it to say that Grant's presidency can probably be regarded as the most corrupt in U.S. history--rivaled only by Bill Clinton's. Grant was quite the loathsome creature. He was also probably America's first (and only?) alcoholic President.

10. Richard Nixon (Republican)

Watergate was the tip of the iceberg for Nixon. He would have been impeached had he not resigned, for sure. Without a doubt, his imperial presidency was modeled after Lincoln's. Nixon makes my list because of his coziness with Communist China's Butcher of Beijing (Mao Tse-tung) and for forever taking America off of the gold standard. Nixon could probably be identified as a Neocon, if we had known what they were back then. For example, Nixon gave us the likes of Henry Kissinger.

There you have it: my list of the top ten worst presidents in U.S. history. Granted, there are several other presidents that rival my list. I could have easily substituted any of them for Grant and Nixon. At that point, the differences in "badness" between them were getting miniscule. But the first eight are definite in my thinking.

Supreme Court to consider Confederate Flag in September

It only takes one justice to decide whether the entire Supreme Court of Virginia will hear the Heritage Preservation Association's appeal of the Danville Confederate flag case.

"Any one justice can grant the rehearing," said Doug Robelen, chief deputy clerk for the court.

The Heritage Preservation Association filed a petition for a rehearing in the Virginia Supreme Court in June. A three-judge panel of the Virginia Supreme Court on June 20 declined to hear the HPA's initial appeal of a local judge's decision that upheld Danville's removal of the Third National Confederate flag from a monument on the grounds of the Sutherlin Mansion.

Robelen said he expects the seven-justice court to consider the petition for a rehearing at the end of September. A decision on whether to hear the appeal could come by the middle of October, Robelen said.

If the court agrees to hear the appeal, the appellants - the Heritage Preservation Association (HPA) - would have 40 days to file an opening brief and the city would have 25 days to respond to the brief, Robelen said. The two sides would argue their cases before the seven justices.

If the Virginia Supreme Court decides not to grant a petition for a rehearing in Danville's Confederate flag case, that would likely bring the matter to a close.

HPA could appeal the case to the U.S. Supreme Court if the State Court decides against hearing it, but the chances of it making it into the high court would be small, the HPA's attorney, Kevin Martingayle, said.

"There will certainly be other challenges in other parts of the state," Martingayle said. "That's why the Virginia Supreme Court should take up the case," he said.

In rejecting the initial appeal, the three-judge panel said it found "no reversible error in the judgment" of Danville Circuit Court Judge James J. Reynolds, who in October dismissed a lawsuit against the city filed by the HPA and others. The HPA and others filed the lawsuit after Danville City Council adopted an ordinance Aug. 6, 2015, permitting only the U.S., state, city, and POW/MIA flags to be flown on flagpoles owned by the city. Danville police removed the flag from the grounds of the city-owned Sutherlin Mansion just a few minutes after city council's adoption of the ordinance.

Judge Reynolds had granted the city's motion to dismiss the HPA's lawsuit, ruling that a State law protecting monuments to wars and their veterans does not apply to the monument at the mansion. He ruled that the flag is not a memorial to the war dead, but a historical marker for the building.

2 More Universities Furl Confederate-Themed Mississippi Flag

Two more Mississippi universities have stopped flying the State's flag, which prominently features the Confederate battle emblem.

Mississippi State University and the Mississippi University for Women confirmed Tuesday that they had taken down the State's flag from outdoor flagpoles over the summer.

Delta State University is now the only public Mississippi university still flying the flag. A statement from that school Tuesday opened the door to removing it as soon as the university president Bill LaForge's cabinet, which includes faculty, staff and student members, votes to do so.

Liberalest of Democrats shows soft spot for Robert E. Lee

Eradicate it. Terminate it. Eliminate it. Annihilate it. Erase it. Exclude it. Invalidate it.
It's not difficult to see where Delegate Mark Levine comes down on the name of Confederate President Jefferson Davis gracing a major north-south highway through portions of Northern Virginia.

But, and he acknowledges this may be seen by some as inconsistent, Levine said he doesn't have a problem with streets or other public areas across the local region named in honor of Robert E. Lee.

"I feel very different about Lee," Levine said in an interview, describing him as "a hometown guy" whose life's work should be respected.

Davis, on the other hand, was an out-of-towner (Levine first described him as a Texan but was gently corrected: Davis was born in Kentucky and grew to prominence in Mississippi). Unlike Lee, whose greatness in battle is not in doubt, Davis, according to Levine, has gone down in history as something of a bureaucratic bungler. Levine also argued that while Lee preached reconciliation after the war, Davis was essentially unrepentant to the end.

FLORIDA SENATOR WANTS TO DEFILE CONFEDERATE GRAVES

Mindy Koch, despite claiming to represent everyone, despite ethnicity, is falling into line with the hate politics of the NAACP in their campaign to purge all vestiges of the Confederacy from Florida's public spaces.

In a recent Candidate Survey, Koch (Democratic Candidate for State Senate District 19) stated that she believes the graves of American Veterans who served for the South should be dug up if they are buried in public parks or cemeteries.

Koch was one of the most extremist respondent to the Survey, earning her a "F"Heritage Rating in the recently released Candidate Voter Guides.

In addition to digging up graves, Koch also wants to remove Confederate imagery from all public places, and offered to sponsor/co-sponsor or support a bill like one sponsored in the 2015 Florida Legislature last session (HB 0243/SB 154) that, if passed, would have prevented residents from wearing or displaying any imagery relating to Confederate Veterans on government property throughout Florida.  It would also have created liability for any governmental entity that allowed imagery on public spaces, like a Southern Cross on a headstone of a veteran in a cemetery.

And when it comes to putting a price tag on the cost of erasing Florida's history, Koch wasn't willing to put any limits on the taxpayer burden...she is willing to authorize spending "whatever it takes" to jettison Florida's history.

Nearly a third of Democrats opposed any restriction on the display of Confederate Imagery in pubic spaces, agreeing with former Florida Governor Lawton Chiles that 'it's just history'.

SAVE SOUTHERN HERITAGE Inc. is a 501 c(4) public welfare corporation that educates & advocates on behalf of Southern Heritage & History.  It was started in 2015 in response to the knee-jerk Anti-Southern institutionalized bullying and "Eracism" levied against the people of South Carolina by Governor Nikki Haley, after she broke all previous agreements about how South Carolina's historical veterans and their symbols should be treated and respected.

The Florida branch was activated in mid-January 2016, in response to three initiatives in the Florida Legislature that are part of hate campaign led by extremists, who refuse to respect the various cultures that make up the fabric of Florida's society.  Since that time, it has grown in membership and has been active in Heritage battles throughout Florida. The Candidate Survey and Voter Guides are a continuation of the "Well Remember in November Campaign" launched in January with a Capital Flyover.   More info:

Is it legal to wear a Confederate flag shirt for jury duty?

A prospective juror wore a Confederate flag with the words "If this flag offends you, you need a history lesson" on it to court this week in York County, South Carolina. A lawyer wanted her struck from service but a judge ruled she could stay, and a legal expert said that the flag itself doesn't disqualify someone wearing it from jury service.

When a judge was qualifying jurors for the week of court, the woman was asked about the shirt by the judge, but said she could be fair and impartial, court officials said. Later, in a courtroom, a prosecutor and a defense lawyer readied for a drug trial. The lawyer, Monier Abusaft, a 16th Circuit assistant public defender, saw that the woman was part of the potential jury panel for the case.

Abusaft, who said he was the only person of color among the trial participants, including his client, made a motion that the woman be struck from possibly serving "for cause." Abusaft said his reasoning, his "cause," was even though the woman said she could be fair and impartial, the shirt with the flag, and the saying on it, should disqualify her. "To me, it was problematic - not just the flag, but the message," Abusaft said afterward. As the lawyer for the defendant, Abusaft said that "I speak for my client" and he was concerned that the shirt and its message were potentially confrontational. The flag shirt and slogan meant to send a message to people, Abusaft said.

But the judge ruled that the woman had stated that she could be fair and impartial, and did not excuse the woman from the potential jury panel.

Abusaft then chose to use one of his juror "strikes" - both sides have the right to dismiss a certain number of potential jurors when picking a jury. The woman was dismissed from the case and never was seated as a juror.

The case ended with a plea deal - no jury needed.

The prosecutor on the case, Matthew Hogge, said he, too, finds the flag offensive. Hogge said he was prepared to use a juror "strike" against the woman in the flag shirt if he needed to.

Kenneth Gaines, a University of South Carolina law school professor and expert on criminal law and rules, said the Confederate flag on a shirt does not by itself disqualify someone from jury service, as a "for cause" strike is a ruling toward someone who admits they can't be fair and impartial, or is found not to be able to be fair and impartial. The judge questioned the woman, and she claimed she could be fair and impartial, Gaines said. So the defense lawyer had to use one of his strikes, Gaines said. "You can use a strike for anything except for race or gender," Gaines said.

Why the woman wore a Confederate flag T-shirt to the Moss Justice Center courthouse in York County for jury duty this week is unclear. Maybe, said Gaines, she hoped the flag would have disqualified her from even being considered. Maybe she hoped the court would have sent her home. "It didn't work," Gaines said.

VIRGINIA SCHOOLS SCEW STUDENTS AGAINST CONFEDERATES

Click a link to a TV news story from Virginia

The report makes it very clear that the public schools in the State of Virginia have outdone themselves in their intentional effort to inspire 4th graders to hate all things Confederate.

IOWA STUDENT TOLD TO REMOVE FLAG

An East High School student was told to remove the confederate flag from his car in the school's lot Thursday morning, Des Moines Public Schools officials confirmed.

"This morning, an East High School student displayed a confederate flag on his vehicle while parked in the school parking lot," DMPS communications officer Amanda Lewis said in an emailed statement. "Similar incidents involving the confederate flag last year led to fighting, and other material and substantial disruption of school. Therefore, East High School staff acted reasonably and appropriately when they asked the student to put the flag away. Rather than remove the flag, the student voluntarily moved his vehicle off campus."

TV station KCCI reported school officials said the student's car would be towed from the lot if the flag was not removed.

"It's not racist, it's just history. I have the right to fly what I want," the student told KCCI Thursday morning.

VIRGINIAN REPLY TO LAST WEEK'S COMMENTARY

Chaplain Ed,

Just some feedback on your question about Virginia still being a Southern state.

You are wholly right in what you saw and it is the combined influence of the past 25 years of the Northern Va (Arlington, Alexandria, Manassas, Fairfax) becoming "Yankeeized."  These areas have been taken over by liberal loving idiots from Northern states and many work for DC groups which are overwhelmingly libtards themselves.

This is a major metropolitan area of Va and carries many votes.  If you look at the voting breakdown over the past 25 years you'll note that this area/block has consistently voted Libtard.

When looking at it on a map basis you will see almost the entire state one color and then this area plus other metropolitan areas another color.

Sad thing is they have a greater population and carry the state but believe me there are many, many of us who can't stand what is going on.

Look at the Va Flaggers and see what they've done over the past few years. It disgusts me to see a carpetbagger from Syracuse, NY as the Governor of the great state of Virginia.  Disgusting.

Follow the Va. Flaggers....they tell how we feel!

WHAT IS HILLARY HIDING?

In response rot last week's article one of our readers shared the following video:
It is a video analysis suggesting that Hillary Rallies are staged events where Hillary performs ALONE in a soundstage and green and blue screens are used to create the appearance of the audience and the rally.
I know, it sounds crazy. But after last week's discovery that Hillary sent factory workers home so that she could stage a rally with actors pretending to be the factory's workers - well we share the link and you can decide for yourself.

Thieves of Southern Heritage

They have always existed. They sailed the same ships as my ancestors. True Southern people have always stood a proud, steadfast vigil, beholding "those people" for what they are. Clearly, the decaying America of today is much of what Confederates passionately fought to prevent. Save your breath contending with me about slavery. Too much of that tired ol' saga is effortlessly refuted.

Proverbs 25:21-22 says  "If thine enemy be hungry, give him bread to eat; and if he be thirsty, give him water to drink: For thou shalt heap coals of fire upon his head, and the Lord shall reward thee." Hence, our enemies, bear their own shame void of pride or honor. They are, typically, the same voices who shout for justice, equal rights, peace, understanding, fairness, for us to "give back" and "come together."  They enjoy the tacit approval of unknowing and/or uncaring Southerners who deserve their fate.

These robbers have not even paused when Confederate flags came down, but were immediately after the "Don't Tread On Me Flag", and now the Nation Anthem. How long will it be before their aim is set on "Old Glory?" as you call it. They are daily heaping deserved coals of fire up their own heads as the Lord rewards the Southerner more in every perceived defeat than any victory claimed against him.

 H. K. WITH MORE ON CONFEDERATE CLEANSING

When the Governor of a State  (Jerry Brown of California) in this so called Union can ban the sale of a Congressional venerated symbol, the Confederate Flag, with no repercussions from Congress or any of the law makers that regulate interstate commerce, we as a nation are in trouble in this so called democracy with our Constitutional laws .

When the media can designate an organization so called the NAACP as the voice of a race of people, and then began to orchestrate social and cultural genocide at their beckoning ; as a nation , we are in trouble.

Confederate cleansing is an outright act of war upon the people of the South. And to use as an excuse to do so, somehow includes a race of people into the mainstream of American life in our institutions of higher learning is an out right lie, because it has effectively done just the opposite.

To take away the place of honor that the African people earned in the service of the Southern Confederacy is an act so deemed necessary by the haters of the South during the first period of so called reconstruction by haters like Thaddeus Stephens. And now to somehow clear their traitorous conscious, White folk guilt thinking leaders who run institutions like the University of Texas, University of Mississippi,  Vanderbilt, and not to forget Mississippi State who completes the epitome of this sacrilege by bringing the Presidential Library of the greatest war criminal in the War For Southern Independence who burned over 42 cities in Mississippi; Ulysses S. Grant. adopt the buzz words inclusion.

I ask of them, why don't you take the lead from decent institutions like Angle Valley College of Virginia, Furman University of South Carolina, and Wright State University of Ohio in inviting in Black folks like the Honorable Teresa Roane, Nelson Windbush, Stanley Lott, Stanley Armstrong, Terry Lee Edgerton, or even myself who tell a different tale than that by the so called historians who have climbed into bed with the so called victor of the War for Southern Independence that excludes the exploits of the African people of the South who loyally stood by and with a man that he not only called Master, but also family and friend in lieu of all the things that was , have and continues to be done to divide and separate them. If you truly seek inclusion, accept this challenge, and give back the badge of honor that you who hate the South try to push asunder.

God bless you!
Your brother,
H. K. Edgerton

TRUMP'S IMMIGRATION SPEECH

Wednesday afternoon Donald Trump flew to Mexico City to meet with the President of Mexico. Wednesday night he gave a speech on Immigration at a rally in Arizona.

If you missed the speech and would like to view it in its entirety use the link below:
Norway Builds a Border Wall

The mainstream media has continually mocked Donald Trump's plan to build a wall on the U.S.-Mexican border, a national security measure the Norwegian government is now employing to control the unchecked flow of thousands of refugees coming through Russia.

The steel fence will be about 660 feet long and 11 feet high, stretching from the Storskog border crossing on the Norway-Russia border, where 5,500 migrants, primarily from Syria, came into Norway last year.

Nordic countries, which have liberally distributed welfare benefits for migrants, have been viewed as a safe haven for refugees - encouraging thousands to trek there.

In the final four months of last year, a record-breaking number of asylum seekers, nearly 23,000, applied for refugee status in Norway, according to a report by the nation's Directorate of Immigration (UDI). That number has dropped by 95 percent since the beginning of this year after officials began enforcing strict border checks and offering financial incentives for migrants to leave voluntarily, according to The Independent.

Even pro-migrant activists acknowledge the need for some control amid the refugee crisis.

Though Refugees Welcome group members in Norway think "the fence sends a very negative signal," Deputy Justice Minister Ove Vanebo defended the measure.

"The gate and the fence are responsible measures," he told reporters.

Preparatory work for the fence is underway. Officials anticipate it will be finished in the coming weeks - before winter sets in, to make it more difficult for refugees to come into Norway through the forested border.

Civil Rights Leader Backs Trump

Saturday, on "CNN Newsroom," one of the men who helped stage the 1960 sit-in at a North Carolina Woolworth's lunch counter to protest segregation endorsed GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump.
Charles Henderson told CNN's Jim Sciutto that he is drawn to Trump because of his business acumen and ability to create jobs, which he said black communities lack.

"Donald Trump is a businessman, and America is a business," Henderson stated. "In order to run America, in order to be a part of running America, you have to understand the economics of America and that we are free society."

"He knows how to create jobs," he added. "One of the biggest problems in America right now, especially in black communities, are the lack of jobs. He has proven before that he knows how to create jobs. We are a country, the land of opportunity, not the land of entitlement."

From an email today:

I took down my Rebel flag (which you can't buy on Ebay any more) and peeled the NRA sticker off my front window.

I disconnected my home alarm system and quit the Neighborhood Crime Watch.

I bought two Pakistani flags and put one at each corner of the front yard.

Then I purchased the black flag of ISIS (which you CAN Buy on Ebay) and ran it up the flag pole.

Now the local police, sheriff, FBI, CIA, NSA, Homeland Security, Secret Service and other agencies are all watching my house 24/7.

I've NEVER felt safer and I'm saving $69.95 a month that ADT used to charge me.

Plus, I bought burkas for me to wear when I shop or travel.   Everyone moves out of the way and security can't pat me down.  If they say I'm a male wearing a burka, I just say I'm feeling like a woman today.

Hot Damn - Safe at last.

Is this administration great or what?
