First they banned Confederate Flags in the schools.
Now, Lou Lavely, the principal of Travelers Rest High School in South Carolina, banned the American flag at the school's football games, claiming it "could" be used to taunt opposing teams that have a large Hispanic enrollment.
Lavely claims that he was preventing the flag from being used in an improper "taunting," unsportsmanlike manner, and his decision was made in the interest of "the safety and well-being of all in attendance at school events."
Patriotic students attempting to enter the stadium with the American flag were denied entry, sparking an outrage on the school's facebook page, and forcing the principal to reverse his decision.
One Travelers Rest student, Hunter Ballew, who was denied entry, said the principal was trying to "strip young Americans the right to proudly boast this Nation's flag."
The patriots in the Travelers Rest community should attend the next School Board meeting, loudly demanding that Mr. Lavely be fired!
Removing Confederate Statues May Cost Virginia City $700K
Officials deciding whether Charlottesville should remove two prominent Confederate monuments have learned that the proposed moves would cost a combined $700,000.
The Daily Progress reports that a report released Thursday by city staff estimates that removing the statues of Gens. Robert E. Lee and Thomas "Stonewall" Jackson would cost $330,000 and $370,000, respectively.
If the council chooses to move the statues, the report says the city could either ask the General Assembly for permission or bypass lawmakers and potentially face a lawsuit.
Charlottesville Mayor Mike Signer announced that he would create a task force to review the issue.
Both statues were erected in the 1920s.
Virginia Court Won't Hear Danville Confederate Flag Appeal
The Virginia Supreme Court will not rehear a challenge to the City of Danville's decision to remove the Confederate flag from a monument at Sutherlin Mansion.
A circuit court judge in October dismissed the Heritage Preservation Association's lawsuit against the Danville City Council over its ordinance permitting only U.S., state and city flags to be flown on flagpoles owned by the city. Danville police removed the Confederate flag from the grounds of the city-owned mansion after the ordinance was adopted in August.
The Virginia Supreme Court affirmed the judge's decision in June. Local news media outlets report that the court refused earlier this month to rehear the case.
City Attorney Clarke Whitfield says he's pleased the Supreme Court found no problems with the city's ordinance.
LIBERALS DEMAND APOLOGY FOR FLAG
Mississippi Governor Phil Bryant is under fire for refusing to remove the Confederate emblem from Mississippi's state flag. Instead, he declared October "Racial Reconciliation Month."
Thursday, liberal activists held a press conference on the capitol steps in Jackson demanding an apology.
Community activist Duvalier Malone says he doesn't think he's going to get an apology from Governor Bryant but he's asking for one anyway. Why Because Malone knows he gains national attention, especially by the presidential candidates. The Confederate flag is an issue Hillary Clinton's campaign has already taken an interest in. This week, WikiLeaks released e-mails from her campaign dating back to last summer where campaign members discussed the Confederate emblem and whether it is strictly a flag issue or one that should include other Confederate symbols as well.
"Being that it is on Hillary Clinton's agenda, on her radar, I am so excited because we need help in the state of Mississippi," says Malone.
We have reached out to Governor Bryant's office about whether or not he plans to issue an apology. We haven't heard back yet.
Leaked Emails Show Hillary Insulting the Entire South
Apparently, close aides to Hillary Clinton's campaign still view southern states as part of the Confederacy. Newly leaked emails provide a unique insight into how liberal aides to the presidential nominee look down on southerners.
In an email to Neera Tanden, who runs the liberal "think" tank the Center for American Progress, Hillary's campaign chairman John Podesta comments on the Miss America pageant. Podesta complains about a number of finalists coming from the CSA, or Confederate States of America. "Do you think it's weird that of the 15 finalists in Miss America, 10 came from the 11 states of the CSA?" he asked Tanden.
Tanden, who is widely speculated to have a future role in any Clinton presidency, sneered at the pageant as being held to honor the "confederacy," a clear shot that those watching and those participating are all a bunch of sexist, hillbilly racists.
"Not at all," she responded. "I would imagine the only people who watch it are from the confederacy and by now they know that so they've rigged the thing in their honor."
Hillary has recently ripped Donald Trump for disparaging comments he made about a former Miss America contestant.
These comments seem to disparage the entire Miss America audience as backwater, Confederate-era racists.
Hillary herself has a word for that ... Can't quite seem to recall exactly what it was. Oh yea ...
After asking who exactly still refers to the south as the Confederate States of America, one social media user said this email exchange "shows me the level of contempt in which huge numbers of Americans are held by Team Hillary."
Is it any surprise?
TRUMP ACCUSED OF BEING A CONFEDERATE SECESSIONIST
Rice University Professor and renowned Bill and Hillary Clinton scholar Dr. Douglas Brinkley was quoted in Thursday's New York Times as having said, "I haven't seen it since 1860, this threat of delegitimizing the federal government, and Trump is trying to say our entire government is corrupt and the whole system is rigged.... that's a secessionist, revolutionary motif. That's someone trying to topple the apple cart entirely."
Fellow Republicans have called on Dan Johnson to drop out of the race after he vowed to "make Kentucky great again."
A Republican candidate for Kentucky's House of Representatives has expressed no remorse for a series of posts on his Facebook page.
Johnson was caught posting a picture of President Ronald Reagan bottle-feeding a chimpanzee with the caption, "Rare photo of Ronald Reagan babysitting Barack Obama in early 1962."
Johnson denied these photos were racist and in fact said that not posting negative photos about the Obamas would be racist.
"I looked this up. There has been no president that hasn't had that scrutiny. Not one. I think it would be racist not to do the same for President Obama as we've done for every other president," he said in an interview with WDRB News.
In addition, Johnson also posted photos of the Confederate flag and memes that call for a ban of Islam in America.
Last week, Johnson said he has no intention of dropping out of the race, despite calls from numerous Kentucky Republicans. Rather, he said, he will challenge political correctness and "the status quo."
"There's a need for change in Frankfort ... somebody needs to take a sledgehammer to the status quo - and I'm that person," he said. "I'm looking forward to it."
Johnson proudly compared himself to Trump.
"If anybody is watching the news, the Republican Party has asked a few people to drop out of this race during this season," he said. "For the record, Donald Trump, that's running for the Republican Party, has been asked to drop out, and thank God he didn't."
He also invoked Trump's campaign slogan.
"I'm that guy to take that sledgehammer - to make Bullitt County great again, to make Kentucky great again," he said. "I'm willing to do the job."
When questioned about his Confederate flag postings, Johnson said, "That flag was for state rights. The reason it is under attack now is we're being attacked as state rights and constitutionalists. We are being attacked."
A statement on behalf of the Republican Party, released by Chairman Mac Brown, says, in part, "Dan Johnson's comments and social media posts are outrageous and have no place in today's political discourse. They represent the rankest sort of prejudice present in our society and do not in any way, shape or form represent the views of the Republican Party of Kentucky or the many fine candidates representing us on the ballot this November."
Tres Watson, communications director for the Republican Party of Kentucky, said free speech does not equal the right to post comments such as Johnson's. "We have to not only understand what our rights are as Americans, especially when it comes to free speech, [but] have to show good judgment when exercising them," he said.
Ontario, Canada Fair Vendors told to stop selling Confederate Flags
Justin Erdman said he was at the annual fall fair on Saturday night from 7:30 p.m. until closing time, and something he saw there surprised him. "Several vendors had Confederate battle flags in their wares - one in Building 5 featured them prominently at the cash register. Others had them emblazoned on hats and shirts with the word 'Rebel' over top," Erdman said. "All the fair has to do is issue an order to vendors. Simple. But I haven't heard any response from the fair," he said, referencing tweets he'd directed at the fair's twitter account on Saturday night and Sunday morning.
George Araujo, the fair's general manager, told the CBC on Sunday afternoon that they had not seen Erdman's tweets. Araujo said he was not aware of the Confederate flag merchandise, but said he would investigate and make sure anything violating their regulations is removed. "We do have regulations against anything offensive," Araujo said, "and we'll have to take a look and see if that qualifies."
Asked if the Confederate flag would qualify as offensive, Araujo said, "It would depend on how it's displayed or how it's being used. I haven't seen it, so I can't comment on that."
However, Araujo later informed the CBC that "we did do a look around our grounds, and we did find a couple of articles that we found objectionable that incorporated the Confederate flag design, and we required that the vendors remove them from display for sale." Those items were hats and mini-flags available from two separate vendors.
Controversy about the flag in the Hamilton area is not new - a now-shuttered barbecue restaurant called Hillbilly Heaven in the city's International Village displayed and later removed the flag in 2013.
Confederate Soldier Given His Name Back
A soldier buried under the wrong name 154 years ago now lies under a corrected headstone at Camp Chase Confederate Cemetery.
I wrote in August about Augustus Beckmann, a Confederate States Army soldier who was mortally wounded in the Battle of Shiloh on April 7, 1862, and eventually buried in the historic cemetery on Sullivant Avenue on the West Side.
Beckmann was misidentified shortly after his death at Camp Dennison, a Union prison camp near Cincinnati. The mistake followed his remains when they were moved in 1869 from Camp Dennison, along with those of other Confederate soldiers, and reinterred at Camp Chase.
Beckmann was buried under stone 2140, which identified him as A. Bergman, Co. C, Texas Rangers.
The mistake was brought to the attention of the National Cemetery Administration earlier this year by Gregory Beckman, a high school teacher from California who was researching his family tree. He had tracked the German side of his family to Texas, where three Beckmann brothers settled in the mid-1800s. Two of them, William and Augustus, eventually joined the Confederacy.
Both were wounded at Shiloh and separated. William survived the war and settled in Mississippi but likely never learned the details of his brother's fate. Greg Beckman, whose family eventually dropped the second "n" from their last name, is Williams's great-great-grandson.
Greg Beckman said Richard Hoffman of the Hilltop Historical Society alerted him that Augustus' new stone was in place. Hoffman placed a Confederate flag beside the stone and sent pictures of it to Beckman. The stone now reads:
2 Texas Inf.
Greg Beckman, who teaches government at El Dorado High School in Placentia, continues to document his family history to pass on to his relatives. He has tracked the Beckmann brothers back to a region of present-day Germany, where the trail has gone cold.
He hopes to visit Camp Chase to see the new stone.
"When I saw the corrected headstone, I felt both pride and a sense of accomplishment," he said in an email this week. "I'm glad that Augustus can now rest in peace knowing that the corrected headstone truly identifies who he is."

Hillary's Vision for America
by Al Benson, Jr.
Pat Buchanan had an interesting article on www.lewrockwell.com ;for October 12th in which he discussed the recent second presidential debate and the "moderators" (read that surrogate debaters for Hillary) failure to ask the right questions. Of course, if the truth were known, they were questions they would shy away from dealing with because they would draw attention to Hillary's One World Government mindset and that is the last thing they want to bring to the public's attention. Why is that, the naive might ask? Because they share Hillary's worldview in that area, that's why.
Pat made some cogent observations when he asked: "How could the moderators have ignored that other leak of last week, of Clinton's speech to Brazilian bankers where she confessed she 'dreams' of a hemispheric common market with open trade and open borders." He continued: "If the quote is accurate, and Clinton has not denied it, then she was saying she dreams of a future when the United States ceases to exist as a separate, sovereign and independent nation. She envisions not just a North American Union evolving out of NAFTA but a merger of all the nations, North, South and Central America, with all borders erased and people moving freely from one place to another within a hemispheric super-state." This is yet one more story the major media and the bosses that control it have deemed that the average American does not need to be aware of. So just ignore it.
All the moderators really wanted to deal with for the evening was Trump and that eleven year old tape and all other subjects were supposed to pale into insignificance. And Hillary would have been quite content to remain there also. This was supposed to be the evening that Trump was destroyed and his presidential possibilities probably handed over to one of the Council on Foreign Relations political hacks that he defeated in the primaries. Trump's bringing out for the audience four of the women that William Jefferson Clinton was accused of raping, one of which he paid a huge settlement to in order to keep it out of court, sort of put a little damper on that. But Trump's destruction was something the Republican Establishment really looked forward to because they never wanted Trump in the beginning. What they had really planned on was for one of the CFR-controlled hacks that he beat out to, somehow, be reinstated as a possible candidate again, didn't make any difference which one because they were all prepared to play the One World Government game, with the possible exception of Rand Paul. Albeit the rhetoric would have been a little different from one to the other, but the results for America would have been the same with any or all of them. But, then, I still think the initial plan was for Hillary to trounce whichever one was chosen to be the "loyal opposition."
After all the planned fuss over Trump's old tape broke, a whole bunch of gutless wonders calling themselves Republicans jumped ship and loudly asserted that for moral reasons they could not support Trump any longer--all the way from the Speaker of the House to the august (and I use the word loosely) Senator from Arizona. One thing folks, especially in the South and West need to start realizing--the Republican Party is utterly corrupt. It has been, like the Democratic Party, thoroughly co-opted by the CFR/Trilateralist cabal and those that run it are high in the echelons of the One World Government crowd. Their vision for "Amerika" is the same as Hillary's vision, and no matter how much they prattle about being "the party of small government" it is all a sham. I trust most of them about as far as I trust Bill Clinton and his presidentially-minded spouse.
The Republican Establishment never wanted Trump and they were almost to the point of choking when they had to pretend they did. They would have jumped at any possible means of scuttling Trump's candidacy so they could support Hillary (covertly of course). All I can say is that if this is the "best" the Republicans can do, who even needs the Democrats? There is no real difference between the two parties except the labels put there to confuse a slow-minded electorate.
As for that eleven year old Trump tape, the man he said all this stuff to, and who egged him on to say it, was Billy Bush. That surname ring any bells? It should. George Bush 1 is Billy's uncle and George Bush 2 and Jeb Bush are his cousins. The Bush Dynasty long ago stated up front that there was no way they could support Trump. He didn't have "New World Order" credentials.
Do you begin to see the possibility of connecting just a few dots here?
Interesting that one of the Bush Clan just happened to get this tape leaked at this critical time. Coincidence, just pure coincidence, right??? I notice that Billy has now been suspended from NBC for his part in this. Is he on the way out because his job there was done or has he been thrown under the bus after it was done?
I've said this before but it bears repeating. If most folks knew the real history of the Republican Party they would realize that its foundations are anything but conservative. To learn about the true history of the Republican Party read two books, Lincoln's Marxists, by Donnie Kennedy and myself, and To The Victor Go the Myths and Monuments by Arthur R. Thompson. These will give you a pretty good idea of the origins of the Republican Party. What goes on today is of the same caliber as what Lincoln and his friends did back in the 1860s. So please, stop looking at the Republican Party as our "national savior"--an office only Jesus Christ can fulfill.
The Republican Establishment will work to sell you out just as quick as Hillary will--because their loyalty to the New World Order is exactly the same as Hillary's
THE CONFEDERATE STATES OF BRAZIL?
RIO DE JANEIRO - Hundreds of thousands of people in the south of Brazil have voted in an unofficial plebiscite to separate from South America's biggest nation and form their own country, organizers of the ballot said.
Counting of the 617,000 votes cast on Oct. 1 in the "Plebisul" finished on Tuesday. Organizers said 96 percent had voted to create a new country out of Brazil's three most southern states, arguing they pay too much in taxes to the central government and get too little in return.
Brazilian media reported ballot boxes had been set up in cities throughout the region for the vote, which occurred the day before nationwide elections for mayors and city councils. The message sent was unmistakable. "We in the south have the conditions to sustain ourselves and generate riches. Today we generate a mountain of riches in taxes and benefits which are exported, and there is no counterpart," said José Gonçalves, a business manager voting in favor of independence in the southern city of Porto Alegre, in an interview posted on YouTube by the city's Jornal do Comércio newspaper.
The results come on the back of the local elections, marked by widespread absenteeism and rejection of traditional politicians. Brazil is reeling from the controversial impeachment of President Dilma Rousseff this year and revelations that many members of her Workers' Party and its political allies were involved in a graft scandal at state-run oil company Petrobras.
Celso Deucher, general coordinator of the Plebisul campaign, said Wednesday that the vote had sent a "resounding message" to politicians in Brasilia, the capital. "If Brasilia knows how to understand what we are saying, certainly Brazil will not be the same from today," said Deucher, in a video posted on YouTube.
Deucher, one of the intellectual leaders of the movement called The South Is My Country, cited citizens' frustration with corruption as a reason so many voted to leave Brazil.
"Be ashamed. We don't accept your behavior," he told politicians in his address, adding that voters would rather be run by their former colonial masters than its current leaders. "We prefer to return to Portugal than pay so dearly for continuing to be Brazilians," he said.
The south of Brazil was colonized by immigrants from Italy, Portugal and Germany, and many take pride in a European sense of organization. It is one of Brazil's richest regions, and organizers of the campaign have been able to capitalize on frustration that tax money goes to poorer regions in the northeast - where the population has more black and mixed-race people and slavery was more prevalent from the 16th to 19th centuries.
According to government figures, in July, Bahia state in Brazil's northeast, which has a population of 15 million people, paid less than half the federal taxes of Rio Grande do Sul, in the south, which has a population of 11 million people.
There are also cultural differences between the regions. In some towns in the south, German is still spoken. A version of Germany's famous Oktoberfest beer festival is held every year in Blumenau, a city in the state of Santa Catarina.
In the YouTube video, Celso Deucher, general coordinator of the Plebisul campaign, said organizers planned another plebiscite in September 2017 and hoped to put 3 million voters on the street. "The south is our country," he concluded. "Long live the free South!"
FROM OUR READERS:
Up here in North Central Missouri we are fixing up our monuments and respect all Military men & women for there sacrifice. Moberly, Missouri in Randolph county has very nice large monuments in the City Park to Veterans of every conflict since the WBTS. These three monuments in Oakland Cemetery were placed in the early 1900's when people had a lot more respect for service members than they do now and are showing it by restoring a source of pride for all of the community.
Neil Block, Commander
Capt. William T. Anderson Camp #1743
John Wayne Dobson in Macon, Georgia shares the following:
I don't care if Donald Trump discloses his tax return information or not. Anything about his personal life does not matter a lot to me. We have grown used to having substandard candidates in this Country at all levels of government, anyway. I don't care about the behavior of his campaign managers. It is virtually irrelevant to me who he insults.
I like Mike Pence but even that choice by Trump is of minor consequence to me. I refuse to watch the debates. What I do appreciate about Trump are some of the people he upsets and offends - most need it.
Rarely can I recall, voting "for" someone. Usually, I am casting a ballot against a candidate or for the lesser of two evils and that is the case again, this year. Regardless of who the Republican Presidential candidate rose to be, I knew all along that I would vote for them if they ran against Hillary Clinton. I could not bear the accusing witness of my conscience otherwise.
The scurrilous media can write all they want about Trump, liberals can rant and rave - it is all just a gusty breeze that I heed not. I see efforts of character assassination for what they are. I have no particular regard nor affection for Trump so it matters little who he alienates, including me. Trump may not win, and may not even want to; but all I need to know to vote for him is that He ain't Hillary.
John Merlin sends the following:
To me at least, as almost dead as the moribund Republican Party is.
Now that the GOP elites have met and are shedding their support for their
party's won legitimate nominee, it's time for us to act. The GOP's true "light blue" color exposed, their common cause with Democratic elites and globalists are now in plain sight for all to see.
This has confirmed the longstanding rumors of a US "Uniparty" where the Democrats and Republicans may appear to be TWO separate coins but in reality are two sides of the SAME coin.
The greatest legacy Donald Trump could leave this nation beyond exposing these phony parties, fake 'media,' their greedy funders, et al would be for him to call upon pro-American Americans to form a new political party in order to counter the anti-American policies of the Uniparty. That is, to form in name and motivation and outlook, an AMERICAN Party; a party that actual Americans can rally around. This is the perfect time to do it. Tens of millions of former Republicans would readily leave Paul Ryan-O and the rest of the RINOS behind and join the American Party.
I hope Mr. Trump will consider doing this, whether he wins or loses the upcoming election. For the future of this nation, it MUST be done.
Also from Merlin:
So, Joyce Behar laughingly calls rape victims "tramps" and her brain dead audience claps.
Now, we have Obama doing this, in NC yesterday and the same type of soulless brain dead people appluad. Just more proof. Always remember: Progressive liberals are evil personified.
In a VERY RARE moment of truth-telling by CNN early this week, the Cable News Network reported the large amounts of taxes paid by Donald Trump.
The questions about his contribution to the federal coffers have emerged because he has steadfastly refused to release his tax returns while under audit. He did say he would release the returns against the advise of his lawyers if Clinton were to provide the tens of thousands of emails deleted from her private system during her tenure as Secretary of State.
FROM CNN WEBSITE
After the debate, Trump told CNN's Jim Acosta: "Of course I've paid federal taxes."
His total income, however, is difficult to nail down.
Trump touted his financial disclosure forms, and although they are lengthy, they offer less than a full picture.
In his forms, Trump declared that he earned $611 million between January 2015 and mid-May 2016. However, it is difficult to tell what form his varied sources of reported income amount to, and whether he is conflating revenues with income.
The Wall Street Journal estimated his pretax income over 19 months in 2014 and 2015 would have been $160 million, so for speculative purposes, let's use that total and assume it's all "passive income," like an owner would collect vis-à-vis rents.
Using H&R Block's tax calculator, someone with a $160 million income could owe $69,370,931 in federal taxes.
That's a lot -- and it would be even more with the considerable state and local taxes a New York City resident would have to pay.
Where would all this hypothetical tax money go if and when the government collected it?
Clinton rattled off plenty of places at the debate. "If he's paid 0, that means 0 for troops, 0 for vets, 0 for schools or health," Clinton said.
The White House has its own tool to show taxpayers what it says their money is going to.
A speculative "taxpayer receipt" for Trump during the most recent fiscal year showed his money would have gone approximately:
$19.1 million to healthcare
$16.6 million to defense
$12.6 million to "job and family security" (e.g. federal and military retirement programs, food assistance like SNAP, Temporary Assistance to Needy Families, or TANF)
$6.3 million paying down interest on the national debt
$4.1 million for veterans benefits
$3.6 million education
$1.4 million for immigration and law enforcement
$1.3 million for foreign aid and other international affairs
$1.1 million for energy and environmental considerations
$783,891 for NASA and other scientific endeavors
$672,898 for agriculture
$2.9 million for everything else, including disaster relief, community development and the milieu of other government programs.
That's a lot, but looking back, this would be just a drop in the federal bucket. The Center on Budget and Policy Priorities said the federal government spent $3.7 trillion in 2015. Not counting new borrowing, $3.2 trillion of that came from federal revenues.
Most of the federal budget is focused on three areas: health care, social security and defense. The rest goes to a mish-mash of investments, benefits and safety net programs. Some of these include outlays for research, education and veterans. The remaining sliver goes to paying interest on the country's debt.
AMISH ENDORSE TRUMP
The Amish didn't watch Donald Trump during the debates, and they aren't reading his tweets. They also don't usually cast ballots, as it's strongly discouraged among their community, but that's not stopping a new PAC from getting out the vote.
Amish PAC's website says it's the "The first Super PAC dedicated to getting plain voters to the polls," using the term "plain" to refer to the Amish people and their lifestyle. But instead of airing smear campaign commercials or spreading anti-Hillary Clinton rhetoric on Fox News, Amish PAC is going old school with newspapers and billboards.
The two-pronged approach has one purpose: to bring a tiny but deeply conservative bloc of voters to the polls in two key states, Ohio and Pennsylvania.
According to the committee, each state has approximately 60,000 Amish residents. Even a small jump in Amish voter turnout - 5 percent, the group says - could be the difference between a Republican and Democratic president come January.
If Trump and the "plain people" seem like strange bedfellows, they're really not.
The Amish and other Anabaptist groups endorse basic Christian beliefs, but have been shaped by a "martyr tradition," according to Elizabethtown College. They preach loving their enemies and forgiving insults, practicing pacifism and nonresistance.
That said, when the Amish do cast their ballots, they vote for their individual rights, less government and to protect their right to bear arms, according to the committee.
Amish PAC has deep ties to the Republican Party. It was founded by an alumnus of a pro-Ben Carson super PAC, an ex-Amish donor to that super PAC and an employee of Gingrich Productions, NBC News reports. Ben Walters, a former Amishman of Lancaster, is a former fundraiser for the pro-Carson 2016 Committee and now serves as fundraising counsel to Amish PAC.
The committee is against same-sex marriage, and wants to protect religious freedom and gun ownership rights, spokesman Ben told Newsworks. "The Amish are a very conservative community on all the issues of the day," King said. "It comes down to who's going to most allow the country to function like it has functioned. The Amish might not agree with the personality and character of Donald Trump, but the alternative is far worse."
Church elders often discourage its members from participating in voting, as it's viewed as a modern practice but Jeremiah Raber, a former "Breaking Amish" cast member, told PennLive the Amish will definitely be voting this year. "I can promise you this time around the Amish will be out in full force voting for president," Raber said. "And I can almost guarantee you that the Amish will be voting for Donald Trump. Because they vote for what is right."
In 2004, George W. Bush visited Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, and Holmes County, Ohio, in an attempt to woo Amish and Mennonite voters in his re-election bid. Approximately 43 percent of Holmes County Amish were registered to vote in 2004; only 13 percent actually did so, with the majority selecting Bush. That fall, approximately 10,350 Amish adults in Lancaster County were eligible to register and vote. One-tenth of that, approximately 1,342, actually voted, according to PennLive - the majority of whom supported Bush.
Bush also famously squeaked by Al Gore in 2000 with a mere 537 vote margin. So to Amish PAC, registering even 1,000 voters and helping them get to polls could make or break Trump's campaign.

Senate Candidate Miller: There's a 'Witch Hunt' for Confederate Symbols
A north Florida State Senate candidate is pushing back against what she calls a "witch hunt" for all things confederate. I
In Florida, the state legislature took down a statue of a confederate general in Congress' statuary hall. The Florida Senate elected to remove a confederate flag from its seal. For many, such emblems are painful reminders of America's slave-based economy while others see them as a symbols of sacrifices made by their ancestors. And the latter is the reason Nancy Miller says she decided to run for state Senate.
"When the flag came down tragically, heartbreakingly in South Carolina--and I call it a witch hunt on all things Confederate. And where's the witch? Witch. Witch. Witch. And if you were a confederate, you were indicted. And so everything had to come down," Miller said during an interview with radio host Rocky D.
Miller, a Dixie Heritage subscriber, has focused her campaign on preserving monuments to Florida veterans in all wars including the WBTS.
Candidate Miller shares the same name with City Commissioner Nancy Miller, which also confused the radio host: Sound- "You were a county commissioner before before, weren't you?" Rocky D asked.
"No, I was not," said Miller. "There's another Nancy miller who was a county commissioner in Leon County-I am a newcomer to the political arena."
And Tallahassee City Commissioner Nancy Miller wants to make sure the difference is clear. She says she's taking the situation seriously, and worries the issue will affect her future campaign.
"Tallahassee City Commissioner Nancy Miller is not associated at all with Candidate Nancy Miller of Steinhatchee," said Commissioner Miller's aid, M'Lisa Ingram. "Their political ideologies are worlds apart," Ingram said.
Candidate Miller recently appeared on the WFSU-TV campaign show, Bandwagonand and criticized incumbent Florida Senator Bill Montford, a Democrat, for his votes against bills limiting abortion options, and gun access, and in favor of proposals to remove confederate emblems.
"It's time we elect a senator who shares our values. And finally, you have a choice between a liberal Hilary Clinton professional politician. Or a small business owner who supports making Florida and America great again," Miller said.
Miller has acknowledges her views on history may not make her popular: "If it loses me votes. I have a voice for liberty. And a voice for liberty is standing up for these veterans. A voice for liberty is the second amendment. I'm not just a one issue candidate. But I want people to know who I am. And if I've lost that vote, I've lost it honorably," she told radio host Rocky D.
Election Day is November eighth and some ballots are already in the mail.
KKK attacks Confederates at rally!
Our good friend, H. K. Egerton and other WBTS reenacts were attacked by KKK members for showing respect to a Confederate monument.
The incident took place on a Monday morning in Jacksonville, Florida when 68 years old Edgerton, a black descendent of Confederate soldiers, from Asheville, North Carolina showed respect at Confederate Monument in Hemming Park during a rally.
As many of you know, Edgerton was former President of the NAACP who now serves on the board of the Southern Legal Resource Center.
Himself a veteran, H. K. said that he didn't have any clue of why he had to face such behavior. He told reporters for the First-Coast-News that he doesn't think that the Flag is a reflection of racism in the country or in the South.
SUSPENDED FOR WEARING TRUMP T-SHIRT
Two teens were suspended by a rural Montana school district last week after they showed up to their annual "Color Wars" pep rally wearing white "Trump 2016" t-shirts.
Polson District Superintendent Rex Weltz told KPAX News that the students, a male and a female who were not identified by name, were immediately told to change clothes once they arrived at Polson High School, photos of the t-shirts had already made the rounds on social media.
Rather than donning the plain white shirts juniors traditionally wore to the annual Homecoming event, the students decorated their white tees. The male student's shirt bore a Confederate flag and both shirts read "Trump 2016."
Weltz called their shirts "inexcusable" and said the school district "will not tolerate harassment or discrimination in any form."
Confederate Flag Prompts Black Lives Matter Protest
Bradenton, Florida teens at Manatee High School brought a Confederate Flag on campus Wednesday. In response, Black Lives Matter organized a large protest before classes Thursday.
A large group, all donning black, gathered before the first bell in a school courtyard to stage the Black Lives Matter protest, the Bradenton Herald reported.
The student who brought the flag Wednesday, which also appeared to have "Trump 2016" on it, reportedly handed it over when school officials asked. The flag was brought on campus as part of the school's Spirit Week celebration.
UNIVERSITY SUBTLY REMOVES MONUMENT
An 85-year-old monument to Confederate president Jefferson Davis on the Texas State University campus vanished without a peep last week.
Following a year of outcry from students, professors and community groups, the granite memorial along one of San Marcos' busiest roads was quietly uprooted on Friday and moved to a site seven miles away in Hunter, on land donated to the United Daughters of the Confederacy.
Texas State spokesman Jayme Blaschke told reporters that although the monument sat on campus property, it technically never belonged to the University.
The United Daughters of the Confederacy installed the roadside marker almost 90 years ago on federal land, as part of the proposed transcontinental Jefferson Davis Highway. The University later acquired the land, but the Texas Department of Transportation maintained the right-of-way where the marker was situated. For that reason, Blaschke said that an official announcement was unnecessary.
"It is not an appropriate monument for a modern Texas university," Blaschke said.
Kathy Hillman, Texas division president of the United Daughters of the Confederacy tells us that, "The university paid for everything: removing it, cleaning it of graffiti, moving it to Hunter and setting it there," she said, calling it a "very good" collaboration.
The United Daughters of the Confederacy installed the monument with great fanfare in 1931. Efforts to purge the Confederate monument from campus gained traction last September when the faculty senate passed a resolution in favor of removal. After the faculty vote, Texas State sent a letter to the Texas Department of Transportation to officially request its removal.
The removal of the Davis monument from campus is now fueling an already vigorous black student organizing of protests at Texas State. On Saturday, around 125 students engaged in a sit-in during the national anthem at the school's football game - their fists in the air.
The same group that initiated the student government proposal to remove the Davis monument is using this "victory" to force the University to create a "Black Studies" program this fall and they are also demanding the Honors College to designate a no-whites allowed "multicultural lounge."
Columbia University to try "apartheid"
There's only one rule for Columbia University students who want to attend this year's upcoming leadership retreat: you can't be white.
The Leadership Retreat scheduled for Nov. 12 at New York City's YMCA Camp, bills itself as "an intensive weekend of personal development, empowerment and community building" for students at the Ivy League university according to The College Fix. But it can only be attended by those who "identify themselves as a person of color as a primary identity," according to Columbia's website.
When pressed for comment by The College Fix, Columbia administrators referred to a statement about the merits of segregated team-building:
"The program, which is geared towards any student who self-identifies as a student of color, provides structured activities and guided exercises that enable participants to build community and reflect on their abilities to effect positive change within their own lives, within student organizations, within the Columbia University community, and within society at large."

Police Abuse And Race-Baiting: The Perfect Storm
Dr. Chuck Baldwin
October 6, 2016
Faithful readers know that I am not timid about reporting on the exponential increase of police abuse currently taking place in our country. This tragic phenomenon is a clear and present danger to the overall health and wellbeing of our society. And it is not a fabrication of "leftists." The abuse of power by many police officers is very real. And as I have attempted to point out previously, the reason for this sad state of affairs is largely due to the recruitment and training of police officers today.
More and more frequently, the ranks of civilian law enforcement are being filled with former military personnel. This is not necessarily wrong in and of itself, but the purpose of law enforcement is entirely different from that of the military. Policemen are not soldiers. And American citizens are not enemy combatants.
For example, back in 2012, Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS), an office of the Department of Justice, offered 220 U.S. cities $114.6 million in incentive grants to hire post-9/11 veterans to fill 800 law enforcement positions.
But soldiers cannot bring their military training into police work without inflicting horrific consequences upon society. And this does not even take into account how many veterans who suffer from PTSD will be filling the ranks of law enforcement. Add the stress of police work to the trauma of war and the results could be devastating on America's streets where the line between American citizens and enemy soldiers could easily be blurred in the minds of these warriors-turned-cops.
Plus, more and more often, police officers are being trained by military personnel (including foreign military personnel), and the equipment provided to law enforcement is increasingly military in nature. Look at the average police officer today: his equipment, dress, and mannerisms more resemble a special ops military soldier than a peace officer. And it is the military training of police officers that is precipitating the avalanche of unnecessary and unjust police shootings of American citizens.
Previously, I reported on the police shooting and killing of an unarmed man in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Fortunately, the district attorney in Tulsa rightfully charged the officer with manslaughter in the first degree. Within days, police released video footage of a similar incident that happened in Marksville, Louisiana. This time, the victim included a little boy.
Six-year-old Jeremy Mardis (an autistic child) was shot and killed with five bullets to his head and chest by two police officers in Marksville, and his father was seriously wounded. The father was unarmed, yet the two officers fired a total of 18 rounds into his vehicle. The little boy was killed instantly, and the father was seriously wounded. There were no warrants out for the father.
A third police officer who recorded the incident on his body cam said that the father was not acting aggressively toward the officers, and Colonel Mike Edmonson, head of the Louisiana State Police, who saw the videotape, said, "That video was incredible. I mean, as a father, much less head of the state police, I looked at that tape, I said this is incredibly disturbing."
The two police officers have been rightly charged with second degree murder in the death of the little boy and attempted second degree murder in the shooting of the boy's father.
And here is the video tape of the shooting that was recently released by police:
Body Camera Footage Released In Marksville Police Shooting That Killed 6-Year-Old
In this case, the police officers were black and the shooting victims were white. That's probably why you haven't heard about it. If the police officers had been white and the shooting victims were black, the mainstream media and "Black Lives Matter" would have made it national Page One news. Which leads me to the second part of the problem.
Barack Obama's White House, the national news media, and the leaders of "Black Lives Matter" have made these police shootings a racial issue. Along with Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, et al., they are experts at race-baiting.
BUT THIS IS NOT A RACIAL ISSUE.
If the poor, suffering souls within America's inner cities who have too long endured the injustices of police abuse (and many of them have--people of every color) would stay focused on their legitimate complaints and stop letting the Al Sharptons of the world turn it into a racial issue, they would be much further ahead in gaining the sympathy of the general public to their plight. But by letting the race-baiters turn it into a racial issue, too many white people mistakenly see this as a "good cop versus black thug" issue.
Are there black thugs? Yes! Are there white thugs? Yes! Are there Hispanic thugs? Yes! Are there Asian thugs? Yes! Crime is crime no matter what the race of the person is who commits it. Law and order is NOT a racial issue. But the media has allowed the race-baiters, such as Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson, to turn it into a racial issue.
I say again: the problem is NOT race; the problem is the increasing militarization of police.
The other problem in America's inner cities is that most of these cities are managed by rabid anti-Second Amendment liberals. Cities such as Chicago, Boston, Newark, N.J., Washington, D.C., etc., are heavily gun-controlled: meaning, the only people who have guns are the bad guys--and the bad guys know it.
For example, last month (September 2016) alone, there were 358 shootings in the heavily gun-controlled city of Chicago, Illinois. There have been over 3,200 shootings so far this year in The Windy City.
Thanks to the gun-control laws of the city of Chicago, citizens there are little more than fodder for the violent criminal element of that town. Instead of promoting "stop and frisk" laws, Donald Trump should be promoting the fact that the law-abiding residents in Chicago (and everywhere else) should be allowed to lawfully arm and defend themselves against the violent criminals of their communities.
What race-baiters Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson fail to acknowledge is that most of the violent crimes committed against black people are perpetrated by black people--just as most of the violent crimes committed against white people are perpetrated by white people. Again, law and order is NOT a racial issue.
And police abuse is not a racial issue; as I've said, it is a training issue. Ever since the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) was invented by President G.W. Bush, our local and State police departments and sheriff's offices have been increasingly militarized.
Police officers are not attorneys. They are not trained in constitutional law. Not only do most police officers demonstrate a serious lack of constitutional acumen, some police officers even demonstrate a serious animus AGAINST the Constitution. These same officers consider people who believe in the Constitution to be "anti-police." Such an attitude does nothing but insure increasing abusive behavior against the very people police officers are sworn to protect: the American citizenry.
One won't read this in a DHS police training manual, but for all intents and purposes, police training procedures teach officers to shoot first and let the courts work out the details. Police officers know that seldom will they be held accountable for a bad shooting (thankfully, that is currently not the case in Tulsa, Oklahoma and Marksville, Louisiana). They often carry "throw down" guns to use after a bad shooting in case the victim was unarmed, to make it appear as though the victim was armed; they know that most of their fellow officers will not "rat" on them even when they are clearly guilty of police abuse; and they know that the local prosecutors and judges are on "their" side. It is mostly a one-sided judicial system for sure, and police officers know it. And the fact that more and more policemen are ex-military means that their military training runs much deeper than their law enforcement training. In fact, many times they are hired as police officers BECAUSE they are former military, as noted above.
Since I have been writing on this subject, many retired and active duty police officers have written me to confirm what I'm saying and to thank me for saying it. I'm sure the percentages are with the "good" cops, but as the DHS-sponsored militarization of local and State police agencies continues to intensify--and as the "good" cops continue to retire--the "bad" cop problem is only going to get worse.
Here are the facts: police abuse is very real, and race-baiting is, likewise, very real. It is the perfect storm. In the political arena, conservatives blame "Black Lives Matter" and liberals blame "white cops." In truth, constitutionally illiterate, "us-versus-them," trigger-happy policemen AND race-baiting, opportunistic charlatans like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson are equally to blame.
This problem will not be resolved until the American people begin looking at and dealing with this issue without the obfuscation of race or political partisanship. Little Jeremy Mardis was not a Democrat or a Republican; he was not a liberal or a conservative; he was a little, six-year-old, innocent, autistic boy who was brutally murdered and violently taken from the home of a loving father by poorly trained police officers.
Black folks in America's inner cities need to stop shouting at white folks and instead start demanding that their crooked, self-absorbed politicians (both black and white) start honoring their oaths of office to the Constitution and eviscerate the gun-control laws that make residents easy prey for the criminal element within their own neighborhoods so that people can start lawfully defending themselves. And "conservative" white folks need to get their heads out of the sand and realize that there is a REAL problem with police abuse in this country and start demanding that their local judges and prosecutors start holding these lawless lawmen accountable to the same laws that the rest of us are held to.
Again, the issue is not black or white--or even black or blue. The issue is justice and constitutional government. Lady Justice is supposed to be color blind. She should also be blind to whatever uniform a person is or isn't wearing and whatever political label one has or doesn't have. As I have said repeatedly, we either have justice for all or we have justice for none. You will remember that when you are on the receiving end of police injustice.

The Left has drilled the immigrant "melting pot" fantasy into our heads for so many years that most people dare not question it. They should.
The United States was founded by Christians from Western Europe.
For most of America's history, "immigrants" meant descendants of British Common Law raised in our western Christian ethic. Our culture, our traditions, and most importantly, our astronomical living standards are a direct result of that particular heritage.
Don't think so? What if our founding fathers were Aztec? Or Yoruba? What prosperity did those cultures leave to their descendants?
Our Republic is rich because, despite its flaws, it was founded on a set of objectively better ideas.
Immigrants to the United States do not make us wealthier by virtue of looking "diverse." Quite the opposite. They make us and themselves wealthier when they assimilate to our Western tradition - when they become "one of us."
Before the rise of fraudulent victim advocacy organizations and our massive welfare state, American immigrants that couldn't meet our standards or disliked our values would simply pack their bags and go home. This was a delicate and humane screening test for prospective migrants. No need for reams of paperwork, a massive immigration bureaucracy, or an army of ICE agents.
Yet, where would the political Left be if they weren't "fixing" something?
Open borders are the Left's answer to Protestant America's rejection of socialism.
Marxists suffered a humiliating intellectual defeat during the post-WWII era and were badly in need of new voters. Americans peeked over the Iron curtain and gasped in horror at the mountain of dead bodies piled up across socialist Europe and Asia. For at least a part of American history, Communism became a bad word. Marxist academics muttered a collective "whoops" and retreated from the battlefield of ideas. They got to work on a new scheme for pushing big government socialism on Americans. If they couldn't convince Christians to favor statism, why not just import statists?
Enter Ted Kennedy's 1965 immigration bill which not only limited immigration from Western Europe but also opened America's front door to every medieval backwater on Earth. The supposed rationale? "Diversity is our strength!" And so the multiculturalism cult was born.
Acknowledging that our galaxy-exploring Western Republic probably has nothing to learn from people who yell at clouds to make rain is now a thought crime. Besides the new mass of sympathetic voters, progressives also effectively shielded themselves from having to know anything about the cultures they import. After all, what does it matter? We're all the same - y'know, "melting pot" and all that.
What has our country and its "culture" gained from all of this 3rd world diversity? Apart from more restaurants serving meat and rice, nothing.
As of 2010, 71% of Hispanic immigrant households were on some form of government welfare compared to 39% of native households.
As of 2013, that number was 91.4% for Middle Eastern refugees.
In fact, not including later welfare expenditures, resettling one refugee costs US taxpayers almost $13,000 per year. Are these the people making us stronger via diversity? It sounds an awful lot like they're making us a soup kitchen.
3rd world migrants tend to come from violent, tribal, and outrageously intolerant societies. Are we to assume only "nice" 3rd world immigrants come to America?
Nearly 80% of undocumented Central American women and children are raped by other illegal immigrants during their trek across the US border. The idea that immigrants who live in horribly violent societies will simply drop those tendencies once they're on American soil is utter nonsense.
Illegal 3rd world aliens make up over a quarter of the federal prison population and commit murders and sexual assaults five to ten times as often as native-born Americans. America's "melting pot" was not supposed to include this much rape in the broth.
Predictably, our politicians have learned precisely zero from this migration catastrophe. Should she win the election, Hillary Clinton has promised to import 65,000 Syrian refugees to our shores. Western Europe has experimented with Middle Eastern immigration for nearly four decades and it's gone about as well as you'd expect. Sweden and Denmark suddenly have the highest number of sexual assaults in all of Europe, nearly 70% of French prisoners are Muslim, ungovernable Muslim ghettos are everywhere, and migrant welfare consumption has left European coffers with nothing but spider webs and IOUs.
The gruesome, almost weekly terror attacks committed by Islamic militants are also unwelcome baggage. At home, Somali immigrant communities in Maine and Minnesota have shared great, exotic traditions like sex slavery, credit card fraud, and insurance scams.
Apart from warm and fuzzies, can the open borders crowd describe any tangible benefit to US citizens from importing Middle Eastern migrants?
Violence, poverty, and corruption in the third world are a direct result of the traditions and customs of the people who live there. A simple plane flight won't change that. If fresh-off-the-tarmac Somali refugees are given US citizenship like any other native born, then US citizenship means nothing.
America is not just a random mishmash of "melted cultures." America is supposed to be a common law republic with a legal bias in favor of human liberty and property rights. It is a "melting pot" of Anglo-Saxons, Dutch, Normans, and other Western European tribes. The Guarani people of the Amazon were not consulted when the Founders drafted our Constitution. If we like all the bells and whistles of living in a (relatively) free country, we should stop importing voters that think otherwise.
HUNGARY STATES RIGHTS RELATIONSHIP TO EU MIRRORS CONFEDERATE TO US
The Hungarian referendum on EU invader quotas is not "invalid" as the controlled media has lied-and the Hungarian constitution will now be amended to overturn the EU's "freedom of movement" rules.
The law says that turnout had to be above 50 percent in order to be binding upon parliament-but that body had already voted against the quota system, meaning that the vote's decision is perfectly valid and will now be implemented.
Furthermore, as Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán pointed out,the turnout in the "EU refugee quota" referendum surpassed the turnout in the 2003 referendum on European Union membership.
In that referendum turnout was 45.6 percent-but the controlled media didn't claim that referendum was "invalid."
In fact, as Orbán was quick to point out, in the 2003 referendum, exactly 3,056,027 Hungarians voted in favor of EU membership. In the 2016 referendum, exactly 3,282,928 Hungarians voted against the EU "quota" system-a de facto rejection of the EU, and 15 percent more than those who had voted in favor of that body in 2003.
In his reaction to the referendum outcome, as announced on his official website, Orbán said that the next step was a constitutional amendment which will "clearly state that without the consent of the Hungarian Parliament, Brussels cannot force Hungary to accede to any EU requirement with regard to migrants."
Orbán said that this was a "sovereignty issue," and that "Brussels does not have the right to undermine the inalienable right to the Hungarian populations' territorial integrity."
The constitutional amendment which will now be introduced will specify that "freedom of movement and residence in Hungary" will from now on be the sole prerogative of legislation enacted by the Hungarian parliament.
The constitutional amendments will be finalized this week by the Hungarian cabinet, and presented to parliament within the next few weeks. The amendments will be passed, precisely because the Hungarian parliament has already formally voted to oppose the "EU Quota" rules, over which the referendum was held.
The constitutional amendment will directly contradict the EU's "freedom of movement" regulations, and will make Hungary's continued membership of that organization impossible.
Editor's Note: Its the 1850's all over again - only this time its in eastern Europe - the principles of self-governance that our Southern Fathers fought for are UNIVERSAL!
I also want to point out that the LEFT has been doing to the entire US (i.e. my article above on immigration) what the Yankees did to the South after the WBTS. That is the North thought that it could crush what was left of the "spirit" of the defeated South and forever remold the South in its own northern image by simply flooding the South with emigrants (i.e. carpetbaggers) from the North. The EU is waging a similar war against EUROPE. In Germany there is a purge of all things German. In England there has been a purge of all things English (which we see the Brits soundly rejected with BREXIT). Hungary, like our Southern states, has said no, Now, they are practicing, as did our Southern fathers, NULLIFICATION. When that does not work, like England and BREXIT or the South and the CSA, the next step is SECESSION. We are watching our own history replay itself in Europe. Jefferson Davis said that these issues would continue to rear their head until finally resolved. And they have - and not just on our side of the pond.
When Donald Trump indicated in the first debate that perhaps he doesn't pay any taxes, Secretary Clinton jumped all over him suggesting he does not pay his "fair share." This illustrates the lack of financial education surrounding our tax system.
Our tax system raises about $2.1 Trillion every year. However, it also provides tax benefits of over $17.1 Trillion. Essentially, these $17 Trillion are a series of incentives for business owners and investors to encourage certain activities that create jobs, develop the nation's infrastructure, grow the economy, etc.
One of the most encouraged activities is real estate investment and development. And of course, any investment that creates jobs also receives a very large tax incentive. So it would be shocking if, under the current U.S. tax law, Donald Trump pays any taxes at all. While people can argue all day long about whether this is fair, this is the reality. Basically, the government is helping mr. Trump to create jobs and develop property because when the private sector does these things it means that many fewer construction projects that the government has to do itself - and that many fewer mouths for the government to feed, etc. Plus Mr. Trump and all those wealthy folks not paying their fair share according to Hillary are also providing medical care for their employees saving the government from having to do so - not to mention all kinds of other benefits that the government would supply if business did not.
Mr. Trump is not alone. In fact, any U.S. Taxpayer who owns a significant amount of real estate and/or creates several jobs probably pays very little tax.
The tax law punishes employees and rewards employers and investors. This is true in every country, not just in the U.S. The government uses the tax law to encourage people to follow its policies. It offers incentives to the people who do what the government wants them to do. Bottom line!
So what would Hillary prefer? For trump to pay a few million a year in taxes (his "fair share")? Or would she prefer to let him keep that money and use it to create jobs and revitalize deteriorating neighborhoods?
