This is the second of a series of interviews with Mary Fahl.

Mary and Dr. Ed continue their conversation specifically discussing how her German and Irish ancestry has influenced her music and what specifically inspired her to write the song "Going Home" that was performed during the opening credits of the epic movie God's and Generals.

Mary talks about the importance of being who you are. Of following your inspiration. Of being genuine. And how this led her to leave the pop music scene at the "height" of her career and pursue a different path with her music. Her first song on that path was "Going Home."

Mary also shares about visiting with her 100-year-old mother through a window at a long term nursing facility because she was not allowed to see her own mother by a facility that is practicing strict social distancing guidelines.
