The number of votes cast in this week's election exceeded the number of registered voters in the country by over 50,000,000.
To misquote the old proverb: Something isn't just rotten in the State of Denmark, whatever it is, its rotting right here in the good old U, S, of A. The host tries to break down the absurdity that was/is this week's election.
Dr. Ed shares a 4-year-old segment from his short lived Southern Baptists for Southern Heritage series when he called on Southern Baptists to boycott all cola drinks *Doctor Pepper, Coca-Cola, Pepsi, RC, etc. because of their associations with the Confederacy and with the old South.
The music is about the land, the people, their faith, their culture, their history, and their heritage. About being "southern." Its real, and it speaks to people because it is genuine. That is why Southern rock has so many fans, even in the North.
As everything in our culture that is "southern" comes under constant attack, today's show is a tribute to Southern Rock!
John Schneider talks about his friend, mentor, and spiritual father, the late music legend Johnny Cash.
Following are more rare performances by Cash such as Chicken in Black and a tribute performance by Johnny Cashless. The show closes with Johnny Cash's last live performance in July of 2003 and then finally with a recording of Johnny singing one of the host's favorite hymns.
Remember back in 2016 when everyone on TV and even "Conservative Talk Radio" were telling us that Trump would never win?
Then Trump won the Republican nomination. And all the same wasted no time telling us that it was a fluke, and that he would NEVER win the general election. Donald Trump wiped up the floor with Hillary Clinton on Election night. For everyone who is afraid that Donald Trump cannot beat Joe Biden, let today's show be an encouraging reminder.
In this third and final segment of Dr. Ed's conversation with Jim Gray.
Both host and guest have moved beyond their conversation of the Kennedy assassination and speak entirely of Jim's Confederate ancestors and how his family migrated from Gwinnett County, Georgia to East Texas.
Dr. Ed continues last week's conversation with long-time TBR subscriber Jim Gray.
Jim Gray is well know to our Texas listeners because of his letters to the editor and interviews that have appeared in the newspapers of Houston, Dallas, Abilene, Austin, San Antonio and throughout the Lone Star State. Jim has also spoken to UDC and SCV groups throughout the State on the History of the Texas flag. Jim and Dr. Ed's great-grandfathers probably knew each other since they both served in the same regiment during the WBTS. That is where last week's phone call starts. Little did Dr. Ed know that his guest was for years the Chief Deputy of Gregg County, Texas and was with the motorcade that escorted President Kennedy from the plane to the grassy knoll. As last week's show unfolded the guest shared some interesting details about the Kennedy assassination that you have probably never heard before. This week is another revelation about that fateful day in Dallas followed by our guest talking some more about his Confederate ancestors.
